Right mouse click on YouTube video produces a mouse forward and back menu not a open in new tab

No image, running LMDE5 (Linux mint Debian 5) on you tube it always comes up with a mouse menus not an open in new tab. Has only started after the last 2 updates since version 6's first update.

Why do I have to right click multiple times to open link in new window?
-
@robbyr2 Once is enough. Open Link i New Window is the fourth item on the link context menu with a default installation.
The menus can be customised, in Settings, Appearance, Menu Customisation to removed unused items, and move the most used items to the top of the menu.

@Erikandreassen On Youtube videos you have opened you need to click RMB twice. That was always the behavior on YT pages on video canvas.
Right mouse click produces a mouse forward and back menu
//EDIT: And i had tested:
for video preview on YT main page?
Same behaviour in Chrome, Edge and Vivaldi.Ctrl+RightMouse works on Youtube preview image to get the correct context menu.
-
Yeah i'm having the same issue, especially on Youtube where you can't even right click and open a link if you're on the homepage. It's so annoying
-
@mangotea Same behaviour in Chrome, Edge and Vivaldi.
Ctrl+RightMouse works on Youtube preview image to get the correct context menu.
-
Same in Chrome:
Firefox:
Edge:
It's the preview causing it, it does not register as a link.
Maybe YT did some recent changes.
Just double-click RMB.Or just click the actual video title...
Interestingly - in Edge even double RMB click does not work

you have totally explained the problem. The first menu is supposed to be open in a new tab but comes up with a forward back menu on a right click. Only happened since the new update. Sorry I don't have a screen capture program as the the one I used to use got downgraded and Vivaldi won't let me do one (maybe I haven't found the function yet) but thank you for the reply. It used to be the main function but it's somehow needs a second click (I reverted temporarily and it still worked so no idea)

@Pathduck Ctrl+RMB give the desired menu. Sometimes. Strange web page.
-
@DoctorG My guess is while preview is playing the link is replaced by a new overlay without an actual link.
Ctrl+RMB is an interesting workaround, never heard of that - maybe some YT specific code? Or some hidden Chromium feature?
But yeah, not a Vivaldi issue.
