Solved Unable to access You.com using the Vivaldi browser
-
@WeakWero Hi, thanks for the recordings.
I have no idea really - the only thing I can see is that the JS fetch request to what is probably the Cloudflare token challenge fails with a 401. It does mention something about it in the Console log, that it "may" return a 401.
I think your best bet at this point is to get in touch with the You dot com support and give them as much data as possible, including the failing Ray ID and your IP. Don't mention using Vivaldi - let them figure it out.
Very strange that it seems to work in other browsers on your system but not Vivaldi. Might be a bug in Vivaldi, but if so it's a really obscure one.

@Pathduck OK, I 'll contact youcom team.
Should I include the screenshot and recording as well? And just to confirm, by IP do you mean the IPv4 address? (sorry I'm not familiar with technical stuff)Thank you to everyone for taking the time to help me!

Check your IPv4 and IPv6 at https://www.whatismyip.com

Really strange, as i used Vivaldi 5.6 Stable and 5.7 Stable and i could see you.com page without such Cloudflare block.

I sent an email to You team and although I didn't receive a response, somehow, I am now able to access You.com again, which is great!
Thanks everyone for helping me! -

@lmajano I can't recall if I had any VPN active at that time, but if I encounter the access issue again, I'll definitely double-check the VPN. Thanks for the suggestion!

@TsarAlex I didn't find a solution and the problem resolved itself a few days after I sent an email to [email protected]. Not sure if it works, but you could also try emailing them.
Included in my email are my IPv4 and IPv6, screenshots and recordings of the access issues occurring. (Screenshots and recordings I sent can be found in my previous replies) -

And that's not all. If I run the clean installed Vivaldi with
--disable-vivaldi
parameter, the Clouflare check successfully completes without any problems and you.com opens. And if without this parameter, I have the same problem - endless Clouflare check. I have tried all settings, both Vivaldi and Chromium, but nothing helps.

Also, you.com works fine in 5.2.2623.48 and doesn't work in 5.6.2867.62. I haven't checked the other versions between these two.
