Vivaldi 6.1 RC 1 – Vivaldi Desktop Browser snapshot 3035.43/44
-
It looks like this update deleted one of my profiles
-
@iPristy With difficulty.
There is no gearing or freewheel — it is direct drive, so you just back-pedal to slow down or jump off and run.
-
Notifications: Still „10 new Feeds from Vivaldi Snapshot“, even when only one is coming in (this one).
-
@Ruarí
A picture of two unicycles, of course! -
12th updated

if I change from a tab to my mailtab, the focus switches from the last marked mail to inbox.
same with a former active feeditem; the focus changes to the feed in the panel (nice, if you thought, that you're at the itemlist and want to delete the feeditem and you get the feed deleted )anyone else?

Now even the open Window on Startup does not have focus! :-o With my bug report yesterday (Key: VB-97912) this wasn’t the case. Working alone with the keyboard is impossible now.
-
@Thot The bug was confirmed, but no fix yet.
-
@Ruarí Thank you.
-
@doctorg: Ah, ok. Thank you.
-
okay so i found a small bug with workspaces when selecting all the tabs end moving them to a workspace the browser crashes or closes
i think it is because there are no active tabs open in the main workspace (because i moved them all to a different workspace)
i hope my explenation is kinda okay -
@TrueFerret
Hi, I cant reproduce this, Vivaldi open a new start page (Speed Dial).
Do you have "Keep Window Open when ..." enabled?Cheers, mib
-
@mib2berlin yes keep window is open
and maybe to clarify i also have another window open maybe that's something to do with it. -
@TrueFerret i also can't seem to recreate it anymore... i don't know anymore how it happened and what tabs i had open
-
Funny, this snapshot crashes for me after laptop is woken up from sleep. I'm on Linux.
I had some random crash too, but it's finally more stable than few recent snapshots. But well, it feels too unstable for a stable release
-
@jacekn: Can you submit a crashlog in a bug report? We'll need that to fix it.
-
@thot: To work around in the mean time, press tab once after the window opens.
-
Updating from 6.1.3035.3 resulted in even worse white flashes when opening new private windows for a short time, but since seemingly resolved itself. I appreciate the fix, but it was a nasty accessibility bug that had been a problem since version 5.5.2805.32, and I hope the Vivaldi team is faster to address it in the future.
Has the Vivaldi team concluded VB-92622 because it constituted more than launching the browser and opening new windows though that was the worst? If you are using an adblocker and cannot view the videos, you might need to allow

Thank you for the release. Is it available somewhere the changelog of the frozen features for the 6.1?
-
@ruarí: Uhhh, great. Thank you for the hint.
