Solved Download buttons on SoundQ site not showing
-
I'd like to submit a post about an issue I have with a website only while using Vivaldi, and no matter what I do (changing the title, removing the screenshots, changing my link with hxxp instead of http, putting the link as code, etc... I can't submit, I have the same error message:
https://shottr.cc/s/Vo27/SCR-20230605-gfw.pngI enjoy contributing to the improvement of Vivaldi browser, but it can be frustrating when I have to waste time attempting to submit a post.
I just can't believe I've just created a post just to express my inability to submit another one.//modedit: title (was: "Post Content Marked as Spam"). Please use descriptive topic titles

@WhiteNoize Hi, sometimes the Akismet anti-spam is a bit too aggressive. Some upvotes might help. Try to avoid posting more than one image as well.
Sometimes also posting the links to the site in question like a code block might work too, instead of a link:

Anyway, disable the ad+tracker blocker on the site and the download buttons show just fine.

Yay! It worked! You made my day Pathduck, thanks a lot!
At first, I sent SoundQ team a message on their Slack, and another user said he had the same issue and he was on Vivaldi as well, but the buttons were showing up in Chrome. The SoundQ team said they would mention that to their IT folks.So I just sent them another message mentioning your point, so all good now!
Though, I wasn't expecting that blocking trackers on a website could end up hiding major content such as download buttons -
@WhiteNoize Happy to help
And you can tell them that their use of
hubspot.com
for tracking user downloads leads to the DDG Tracker Radar blocking such requests and the buttons failing to show up.https://spreadprivacy.com/duckduckgo-tracker-radar/
So this would also block any of the 6 million+ users of the DDG Chrome extension and the 1.5 mill using it on Firefox.
Vivaldi uses the public DDG tracker list for blocking.
