Screen not showing in Facebook Messenger/Discord

Hello. I am experiencing an issue that has come up in the past month or so. When video chatting on facebook messenger or discord, I cannot see the other participants. Their video just shows a perpetual loading symbol. They can see me fine.

This does not occur in google meets, and does not occur in other browsers.

I have reset my security settings, verified that vivaldi has access to my camera, and tried restarting the browser. Nothing has fixed this issue.

@godzilla5428 Try disabling the ad-blocker in the address field.

@Pesala if you are referring to the content blocker represented by a shield near the address bar, I have done so. It is on "block trackers" for me as the default, but I tried putting it on block nothing and I still could not see the other person's video.

What are your OS and Vivaldi versions?

Extensions are a common cause of issues. Hardware acceleration (Settings, Webpages) can also cause video issues.

I don't use video chat apps, and won't go near Facebook, so I doubt if I can help apart from the above suggestions.

@Pesala Ah, my apologies on not providing those sooner.
I am running Vivaldi 6.0.2979.22 (Stable channel) (64-bit) on Windows OS 64 bit.

I suppose it could be an extension issue and will attempt that fix, but I don't remember adding any new extensions that coincided with this suddenly not working.
