Upgrade to Chromium 114 – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 3023.3

@ybjrepnfr actually, now that I think of it, I should have used the phrasal verb "throw in", not "drop" ooopsie
-
@npro it's ok... as long as you always know where your towel is, regardless of thrown or dropped, you're still a hoopy frood.

T-minus 14d as of today.

It has to do with filters and fix by @gudmundurg74
Here's the description
- Create a filter that has e.g. query "from:X" where X is some email address you have gotten mails from.
- Wait for the filter to run and observe that the filter's folder has some messages in it.
- Change the filter so that the query has a different email address (which should exclude all the messages that are already in the folder.
- Wait for the filter to run and observe that new messages are added to the folder but the previous messages, that should now be excluded, are not removed.
Expected behavior: After the filter has fully run the messages in the folder should be exactly those that match the filter, no more, no less.

@npro i hereby officially volunteer to be the ignorant fool who simply has to ask...
huh?

Ran on Debian 11 KDE the fix for Linux codecs from https://forum.vivaldi.net/post/668180
Strange, Chrome 114 plays this DRM protected video smooth whereas Vivaldi 6.1 stutters.
6.0.2979.22 Stable without stutter! -

can't confirm either.
-
@ybjrepnfr I guess you use Arch?
-
@npro Perhaps Arch's codec is different from Ubuntu's. I can not test Arch atm.
-
@DoctorG yes i do...
Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.106.0 Qt Version: 5.15.9 Kernel Version: 6.3.4-zen1-1-zen (64-bit) * Graphics Platform: Wayland Graphics Processor: Mesa Intel® HD Graphics 4600
* yeah yeah, @npro, shoosh ... i know the next version is already available, but i don't feel like a reboot today.
-
@DoctorG Probably... I forgot you just got the codec 4 days ago with ruari's latest instructions for systems with older
glibc
versions like your Debian 11. -

Hello, thanks I got the update 3023.10 for the MacOS version but I have a question...
That's the shared changelog:
I don't see any log related the 3023.10 but it stops at 3023.3. Why that?
Surprised no-one else seems to have noticed something about your question - in fact it doesn't stop at 3023.3... it says changes since 3023.3!

It looks to me like there is a regression from 6.0 to 6.1: I have a keyboard shortcut "Ctrl+Space" for "Homepage". This does not work anymore and if I delete it form the Keyboard Shortcuts and try to re-enter it, I can't (nothing happens when I type Ctrl+Space in the box for entering shortcuts)
Can anyone confirm? -
@Wolfram I am unable to reproduce the issue. Alt+Home is the default, and I have no problem changing that to Ctrl+Space, and either shortcut works fine.
Do you get any error message when trying to assign Ctrl+Space.
-
@Pesala Thanks for checking!
The fact that it still works for you made me think some more and it looks like I found what's happening: I recently installed PowerToys and they seem to capture Ctrl+Space.
Edit: I'm not alone... https://superuser.com/questions/1785700/ctrlspace-not-working-anywhere (updated PowerToys today so it probably wasn't even an issue before) -
