Messenger in the side panel has never custom CSS applied (including dark theme)
-
Hi,
I noticed that Facebook's Messenger in the side panel never has custom CSS applied.It is strange, because when I visit https://www.messenger.com/ I have a dark theme applied based on my Windows dark settings.
But when I open side panel it's still white (yes yes, it's in a desktop mode).
The CSS applied by various plugins also doesn't work there.What works is this:
But it also changes the theme of all other websites, which is a big no no.
I prefer to have a plugin for this task, where I have a control of what exactly is happening.I would propose to make websites working in the side panel to work the same way as normally, if it is possible... At least to be under control of plugins.

@ap0st0l Not all extensions apply a dark style or CSS to web panels. That is a known restriction.

@DoctorG Restriction or rather an oversight? Why would anyone want to restrict that?
-
@ap0st0l You misunderstood, i think a restriction in Vivaldi panel's or extension's program code, not by Vivaldi devs; more of a "Can not do" that "Will not do".

@DoctorG Hmm, that's a bummer
I will look for some workarounds or maybe I will just install desktop Messenger app... Thanks.
