Cursor doesn't auto-hide after ALT+Tabbing
-
If I ALT+Tab to another window while watching a video, then switch back to Vivaldi, the cursor does not auto-hide until I move my mouse again.
-
@beyxnd Hi, I can't confirm this happening - are you talking about with a full-screen video or regular viewing?
Tested in a clean profile of Vivaldi 6.0 Stable, Win10 x64. I can fullscreen a YT video, alt-tab out, move the cursor around, alt-tab back to Vivaldi, wait some seconds and cursor disappears along with the video controls.
If I don't move the cursor at all after alt+tab, then cursor+controls are still hidden in the video.
Note also that there are probably site differences here with different video players and their cursor hide implementations. And you're not giving any information about what site you're talking about.
You should also test in another browser to know if this is just how the video player works for that site in all browsers.

@beyxnd Works for me with 6.0 Stable Win 11 22H2, i run YT video in fullscreen (key F), the pointer hides, i switch to next Windows window with Alt+Tab, and back, the pointer is hidden.

maybe check vivaldi://settings/webpages/ "hide mouse cursor" if it changes anything

@iAN-CooG I enabled "Hide the mouse cursor for page-initated fullscreen" and it how hides even when tabbing out.
It's not a perfect solution, as it hides prematurely and unpredictably, but at least it works now.
Thanks!

it works
Good. To me the cursor disappears by itself after a couple of seconds, and it doesn't bother me at all, but I guess it can be unnerving when alt-tabbing 10 times a second
