Background process draining battery

Vivaldi always
, which results in it draining my battery and heating my phone up, even with its background access restricted.
The same issue appears on both Android 11 and 12, latest snapshot and stable.MIUI 14

@Bachalo You may check for advanced battery options to see why is draining too much.
Reading here, seems also MIUI14 drain more than previous version.

This only happens on Vivaldi though. I've already uninstalled/disabled most system services on my phone so it definitely can't be that

@Bachalo in v settings there is an entry to close vivaldi with double back. Maybe is related. Also purging cache sometimes helps

@Hadden89 Okay so if I force stop it, it stops running until the browser is launched again. It's a huge inconvenience to go in the settings and do that every time I close the app though

@Bachalo There are few settings that could interfere:
- "allow background audio playback" ON;
- "double tap back button to close app" OFF.
btw feel free to report it as a bug from the device, perhaps someone on MIUI 14 can replicate.
