Authorization issues with Camera/Mic on web panel
-
Sites interacting with Microphone and/or Web Cams, when opened on WEB PANEL won't respect the security/privacy settings and won't interact with the devices. I found no way to grant permissions on these sites when opened in Web Panels. A quick reproduction is just trying to start web meeting in Google Meet in the context of a web panel. Changing from ASK to Allow and refreshing the session won't take effect - Any thoughts / tips are greatly appreciated.
At the OS level (Mac) - VIvaldi is allowed at the System Settings (Privacy and Security) for camera and microphone . At Vivaldi level, the same - but on Vivialdi, "allow" is never persisted. It always switches back to ASK - and The asking action doesn't trigger under a web panel.

same problem here, where can we file a bugfix request?

Problem persists even after updating to Vivaldi 6

@mgavazzi Hi, this is a bug most likely, but probably tricky to get working. It works fine in tabs, just not in web panels. Web panels for some reason do not always work exactly like regular tabs.
Please report a bug, post VB-number here and I can confirm.
I have moved your feature request to the archive, this is better reported as a bug. Please read:
carefully and report the bug to Vivaldi bugtracker
