@LindaMK We just released a Desktop Snapshot build with some easy debugging capability of possible Client Hints abuse.
Could you please install that version (as a standalone) and change the Network->User Agent Brand Masking to Google Chrome (or MS Edge) (see screenshot below), restart Vivaldi and the visit the site(s) causing problems and repeat what failed, and report back what happened, or didn't?
This setting is intended for debugging, so you should not run with it normally, and we would like information about which sites break with the default setting, and works with one of those two setting-values.
Thanks in advance.

FYI if you cannot see the Network option copy and paste the following URL
vivaldi://settings/network/
into browser's address field or use Settings search field to locate. -

Hi, I guess these debug options are not reacheable from the regular settings page.
Search for network or brand and it pop up.
@yngve
Will this be stay hidden or get we a Network section?Cheers, mib

@mib2berlin They seem to be visible in the current Snapshot.

@nomadic
Ah yes, I don´t test this, if I don´t find something in 2 seconds I use search anyway.Cheers, mib

Sorry, my mistake; it seems the option is visible in snapshot for all platforms except Linux ― I need to pay more attention to the platform involved when testing.

@yngve This screen is not displaying for me. When I eventually get to NETWORK from a couple of areas, I click on Proxy and Vivaldi takes me to the Windows 10 Proxy settings window in its Settings. This is very odd.

@dmkroslindale The setting is only in the current Snapshot version. You can install it as a standalone install if you want to test it out. The proxy setting is unrelated.
See @yngve's post above: https://forum.vivaldi.net/post/649246.

@dmkroslindale
Hi, this is a Vivaldi 5.8 snapshot (Beta) feature, this is not in the latest stable 5.7.
You can test this in a standalone install, download it from the link @yngve posted.https://help.vivaldi.com/desktop/install-update/standalone-version-of-vivaldi/
Cheers, mib

I installed the Desktop Snapshot build from the link above, set "Report Browser Brand as" to "Google Chrome", and I was able to log into the PNC site. I then changed it back to "No Brand", closed the browser, and tried again. I was still able to log into the site. I cleared the cache, verified "No Brand" was selected, and attempted to login. I was unable to login. I change the setting back to "Google Chrome" and I was able to login. When I changed back to "No Brand" without clearing the cache, I was still able to login. I hope this information helps.

@James2124 It does. Your banking site is pretty much doing UA-CH sniffing which is something we all feared. By the way, the network setting shown in the picture above should be present in the next stable which may come soon so keep it as edge or chrome after clearing cookie/cache if the issue is still present.
@yngve This could mean we may need to spoof UA-CH too (or perhaps leave this choice in welcome page?)

Having to push that big red button is what we have been worrying about. Now that we have confirmation of at least one (I assume) major bank using it, we will have to evaluate the next steps.
Thanks for the confirmation, @James2124 .
