Unable to restore closed window with bin
-
Hi,
this is second time on this built of Vivaldi I closed the main window as I forget about secondary one and I am missing option in bin to restore it. I see only closed tabs but not the window with tabs I need to restore.
Anyone else with same issue or is there some new settings I need to change?
5.7.2921.63 (Stable channel) (64-bit)
Widows 10 22h2 (19045.2728).Update:
The bin doesnt shows closed windows anymore, just found out if I right click in space between + and cloud icon there is option for reopening closed windows, but you cant choose which one, they reopen in order of closing. Would be great to get bin option back. -
@AntraX666 Please vote for request at https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/82754/trash-bin-closed-windows/1

@DoctorG Thanks for tip, but its not the same, in screenshot Pesala has closed windows and I dont. Seems like its really bug as option to restore windows appears after restarting Vivaldi but not in same session.

@Pesala @AntraX666 Seems to be a old unfixed bug:
VB-67673 "Trash Bin | Sessions + New Windows" - Confirmed.
I try to ping a dev in internal chat to let them check. -
I had that happen to me just yesterday, and I found I was able to restore the lost window via the Tabs Panel. The only thing lost was the tab order within Stacks.
-
@paul1149 You mean the Window panel?
I do not see with 6.0 Stable/Snapshot no window information in the panel and can not decide which tab was really the one i wanted to restore in a window. -
@DoctorG Yes, the Windows panel / Closed Tabs folder.
(I still don't understand why it's called a Windows panel.)

Because it displays the tabs and windows that are open in Vivaldi. It has nothing to do with Windows OS.
-
@paul1149 Called Window! Panel, because it shows all Vivaldi windows with all their tabs.
-
I guess that makes sense. I think Tabs would be better though.

@paul1149 We have to live with the name the devs decided to give to that panel.
