Steps to Reproduce

- Scroll

I can move/scroll the window by clicking on the scroll bar but not using my mouse

New version breaks trackpad scrolling completely in PWA windows. Previously the problem usually appeared after lid closing/reopening. I could solve it by reopening Vivaldi. Now I can't make it to work.

Hello, is there any estimate on when this problem could be resolved? Unfortunately, it causes a lot of inconvenience, when user organizes their workflows via PWAs. When one needs to scroll the content of their PWA (usually messenger), they need to switch to the trackpad.
-
I'm also having this problem - with two different computers and different mice. Are other still having this issue? I'm using 5.7.2921.60 (Stable channel) (x86_64) on a Macbook Pro,
-
@timlindgren FYI, the bug for this issue (VB-81175) is still open and confirmed.
-
@xyzzy Thanks!

I meant to report this as a bug, but I realized that this issue's hounded Vivaldi for Mac since last year. I cannot scroll using my magic mouse in all PWAs. This is the only thing that's keeping me from using Vivaldi as my primary browser.
-
Hello, this issue lasts for a pretty long time already and unfortunately affects the comfortable use of the browser on the Mac platform. The reason of why this causes a lot of the usability problems is the following:
- On Mac, the workspaces are way more accessible than on Windows and users use them a lot.
- PWA is one of the best features, as you don't need to install/update/maintain/etc. any native apps, and can use the PWA for the majority of your needs.
- With the combination of PWA and Mac's workspaces, people allocate the PWAs to different workspaces.
- The Magic Mouse provides a comfortable means to switch between the workspaces, and this is one of the biggest utility it brings (at least to me)… if we don't count the comfortable scrolling in the browser window, boards, etc.
- This is where the issue appears, you either have to switch to trackpad to scroll through your slack window and return to your mouse usage to continue working on some online board or switch to another workspace. Alternatively, you can, of course, use a "non-magic mouse" to do all activities + the installation of additional apps to allow switching between the workspaces and scrolling inside PWAs. I doubt this is the way of how this bug should be resolved.
Thank you!

Still having this issue in December 2023. I won't try to be insightful, as everything has already been said, but please fix this.
-
Can't give an ETA for a fix but VB-81175 has been assigned to a developer.
-
This bug has been persistent for years now. I'm on 6.5.3206.57 (Stable channel) (arm64)
It happens after the lid is closed and opened again. Usually, I have to quit and reopen the PWA app but still not fun!! -
This issue should be fixed in the latest Vivaldi 3405.3 snapshot (test version).

@daniel I'm using 6.8.3381.48 (Stable channel) (x86_64). I can’t scroll.
Otherwise, keyboard can scroll with the arrow keys, but the PageDown key does not work, and PageUp seems to respond. Even in normal mode, the PageDown, Home, and End keys seem to be unresponsive, except for PageUp.
