Solved Mail not showing body text

Seems to be a consistent and nagging issue across platforms. I am having since I started using Vivaldi and I am still having it with Vivaldi 5.7.2921.63 both under Windows10 and also under Mac OSX 11.7.4

It is clealry not related to Emails from Apple systems. I keep having this issue in emails from different mail clients.

@DocMike65 And yet, I never have it in multiple instances of Vivaldi on multiple platforms across many machines.

I wonder if you are using any security software or extensions that might insert their fingers into whether mail bodies can be downloaded or not.

@Ayespy I forgot to verify the attachment problem that I said I would check but I just did. Both windows an linux exhibit the problem on latest snapshot.

The body not rendering, as far as I know and for one of my particular cases, was already confirmed. It relates to mails from macOS mail client and is related to multipart/mixed emails with attachments. There are other cases from pretty older html emails that also do not render but those are exceptions at least on my side.

BTW I reported the invites not rendering problem as VB-95253 and that problem seems also to be particular to something since it affects only a work contact and google's automatically added calendar event shows the following description:
"<BR>"

The attachment problem is simply strange because the vivaldi client clearly sees that there attachments but exhibits a empty list as shows in my screenshots. Gmail web client show the files with no problem.

@mib2berlin invitations. I'm talking about emails with ics files (calendar events) that show the related options like:
-add to calendar;
-accept.

and so on. With a particular work contact from whom I received some invites, the invite details and those options aren't shown in the vivaldi client. Gmail web shows those options without a problem.

Received the mail in the Vivaldi mail client.
I want to make the bug report as clear as possible for the developer.

@mib2berlin yes, exactly that. That part isn't rendered and I even had some cases were it did render after changing to another mail message. It is affecting a particular work contact so it should be related to the client used. An example of the google added event on the calendar show the text I mentioned before:

Hm, how should a developer test that?
If you right click > "Open raw message" you can maybe find out which client/platform is used from the sender.
Google calendar locks like this:

This would be a very important information.

I removed the attendee and organizer lines and put three vertical '.' instead. The mail client used was outlook.

@Ayespy, all the mails are stored here on our local server and we access them via IMAP. The server is dovecot on linux. We are not running special filters or such, when we access them. All these mails look completely normal in other IMAP clients like Apple Mail, Em Client, Outlook and such. The content is only missing in Vivaldi. There are no extensions running in Vivaldi.

The mail is somehow not 100% OK formally.
However, it seems like ALL my other mail clients seem to have not issue with such "glitches". An while all other clients are showing all of these messages, vivaldi does not. That means I cannot use it as my primary or only mail client.

Thanks for posting all the examples. I am looking into this and I might be on to something already. I will keep you posted.

It turns out that our parser does not tolerate that the Content-Type header and its accompanying boundary attribute are split up between lines. I don't know if that splitting is a result of pasting/inserting the message here into this discussion or if it was so in the original raw message file. But I guess that we have to tolerate either way. But if that was on one line in the original raw file then I have still to find another cause for this to fail.
