I can not type a / and more at end of a domain in my LAN.
I could visit https://servana.fritz.box , then i wanted to edit the URL in address field and tried to type at end /index.php , but that fails
When i try to type the / the dropdown appears and i can not type more.
Strange.

Is a regression! Works in 5.6 Stable.

Sadly that happens on regular domains, too.
Copying https://forum.vivaldi.net , pasting in address field, hit Return to visit page, and next trying to add more to URL fails, too, and brings up drop-down of history.

I reported this now as

Has anyone else had their extensions randomly stop working after installing this latest snapshot?

Odd bug I think. On my ActivityPub site Vivaldi is constantly sending me a popup outlining that it is accessing my location. This happens on every page as I navigate around the site and if I refresh a page. I restarted Vivaldi and it still happens. This does NOT happen on the latest stable release of Vivaldi. This also does not happen for this site on the latest version of Microsoft Edge.

I'm using the latest Mac OS version on a Macbook Pro.

Tried it using a guest account with no extensions. Still happens.

I tried it on a guest account on the stable release, just to be sure, and like the stable release with extensions, it doesn't happen.

So this seems to be related exclusively to the snapshot.

Another note: This did not happen with the previous snapshot, so some kind of regression or code change must have created this, I think.

I created my avatar a very long time ago with an art filter on a photo of myself, back when filters just started being released. I believe the site was something like deepart.io or similar. It died a number of years ago.

@Pathduck Ah, ok, iAN-CooG found it, i overlooked it.
For me that is a Blocker bug as i can not type own URLs.

@DoctorG I don't know if they will ever get the address bar editing working correctly... it seems to fix some things, and break others.

This time there is this issue, and also you can't edit urls from history/bookmarks, it just resets the url...

But it's OK, I can deal with it without going all ragequit stylee
