Difference environment ( mobile view or desktop view ) for different Tabs
-
Vivaldi ( android) is not allowing different views ( mobile or desktop) on different tabs .
It either loads all of them in desktop or it loads all of the tabs in mobile view .When I request desktop site on one tab 1 and move to another tab (tab 2 that was in mobile view ) , Vivaldi automatically reloads tab2 in desktop mode i and it happenes will all the active tabs that i open once I set one of them ( tab 1 ) in desktop mode.
If I change from desktop mode to mobile in any tab the it affects all the tab and then all.of them are reloaded in mobile view .
Each Vivaldi tab should have saperate ( MOBILE AND DESKTOP ) environment.
Sometime users need to open some website in desktop mode while other websites in mobile mode )One this that can be done is to allow users to chose whether they want to have same website environment ( mobile view or desktop view ) on all tabs or they want to have different environments of different tab wit sme kind of default ( mobile view or desktop view ) for NEW TAB .

No bug, it work for me, no idea why not for you.
We have to wait if other user can reproduce it on Android 11 but not on 12.Cheers, mib

Ah, it does not work on Youtube but if one tab is Youtube and an other tab is vivaldi.net, for example, it work. -
@mib2berlin well, I have been having this issue since I downloaded this on my Samsung A50, Android 11 and it refuses to let me see anything in mobile mode on my screen. It's constantly in Desktop View which is very annoying. I feel like am a blind person reading braile; am constantly scrolling from one side of the screen to the other, to read articles etc. Even when using popular browsers, I.e.; Yahoo, Firefox, Google or Wikipedia. In fact I don't even see my errors here on my screen unless, I zoom out and scrutinize with a magnifying glass. I installed the mobile version but am stuck here on desktop.
I can't even see the "send button" on this site...it's a blue blip.
Have a screenshot but cannot seem to attach it here. There is no "save" button since I corrected my spelling. If it's here, I can't see it so am resending this reply. -

Hi, I have to test this again but some user report issues with changing the Android default font size and/or changing the default resolution on a mobile device.
If one set the resolution higher Vivaldi "think" it is on a tablet, for example.Cheers, mib

New user are restricted, no uploads, links and a lot of text is blocked from the spam protection.I test this with 3 tabs from different domains, with default setting for Desktop view > Disabled:
If I set one tab to desktop view all other tabs stay in mobile view. The tab with enabled desktop view from the pull down menu remember the setting for the domain.
After disabling you have to reload the tab.Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite

@mib2berlin I have tried this and at each time, I must reload the page - it works well here in the Vivaldi community but doesn't work on Google search.
Yes, my font is increased because am no longer able to read small print due to my age. Even though am reading with non prescriptive glasses, when I lower font size, it always, still opens in Desktop mode.
I will keep playing with the settings etc., if I find a solution, I will post it here. Thanks for your time and solutions.

@Caliberjane
Hm, I know this very well, therefor the desktop view is unusable for me.
But I never get it if I not manually change the setting, changing system font to XL does not change this.
This work as well on my old Android 8.1 phone.
I hope another user have an idea or can reproduce it at least.Cheers, mib
