Solved Fullscreen Video (and Fullscreen) border

@ourostra said in Fullscreen Video (and Fullscreen) border:
From what I traced on the forum, the problem was known on the snapshot of the new version for a month. After one RC version, a "stable" version was released with a bunch of other problems and annoying bugs.
I don't understand why such a rush and why a version with so many problems was released
This is a common practice when a developer tries to attract users at the initial stages. And then he switches from fixing bugs to implementing surveillance and collecting personal information to make money, while almost forgetting what a browser is for.

Whut!? Vivaldi devs are not such gangsters. They do not sell information and spy users!
I hope i misunderstood your strange opinion, or your translation was not correct.

@DoctorG I know that this is not some critical bug, but you have to admit that the last version was released probably a little too early. Even the new Task Panel had a rather trivial problem that should have been caught at the testing stage (or RC version).
And yes I know, Vivaldi is a small team (which does a great job) and bugs just happen, but I think some of the bugs or other inconveniences could have been avoided in the stable version if more time had been spent on more snapshots and fixing the bugs reported by users at this stage

So what would be a solution for the moment? Roll back to 5.4? How easy / safe is that?

Not recommended as downgrade will break browser data and cause weird effects. We can not help with broken data after downgrade.

Should have been fixed since 5.5.2805.38:
[Windows][Media] There is a small transparent border with rounded corners when in full-screen video (VB-92219)

Until I change my browser. I'll give Vivaldi one more chance.

The white pixel line on the top is back in my browser: Youtube / full screen. Anyone else?
-
@bikelike I tested 6.9.3447.48 WIndows 11 23H2, no white line.
Which video URL?
-
Thanks for checking. In fact it is gone at my side. Maybe because I restarted Vivaldi.
