Yet Another Youtube Full Screen Issue (YAYFSI) - invisible borders cover part of fullscreen video on youtube
-
There are invisible thin (3-5px wide) left and right borders around my fullscreen videos in youtube. They always go from top of the screen to the very bottom (unless I scroll the window down to make the rest of the page appear, then they end at position where video picture ends). The invisible borders are INSIDE the video picture, so they cover a very small area of the video itself.
When video is playing I can move my mouse freely inside the area of these borders and no controls are showing. Still, the cursor is VISIBLY over the video itself, so this is anomalous behavior. Moreover, Chrome (75.0.3770.142) does not do this.
The borders are detectable only when FS video is playing. When I click the anomalous border, the video does not stop, as it should. The bug also makes mouse cursor very annoying when watching fullscreen videos in youtube because the player does not hide the cursor when its over the buggy borders, which means the cursor often stays visible during video playback when "put to the side".
What's even more alarming is that these border are virtually non-clickable with RMB. Like every element of website is RMB-clickable but these are NOT! I even went an extra step further and enabled the #debug-packed-apps flag in vivaldi://experiments... but it's STILL unclickable!!! I can literally RMB-click ANY part of Vivaldi UI but this thing resists even the most fervent clicking.
Can anyone please confirm this issue in latest stable Vivaldi (2.9.1705.41). This is Win7 32-bit. Thanks!

@Beholder I can confirm the issues in Stable and Snapshot.

Indeed I cannot confirm the issue being fixed in latest snapshot (2.10.1745.1). This issue is still unfixed. Thank you for confirmation, I think I will file a bug report.

Thank you, bug report filed under key: VB-61259

VB-61259 is still unfixed

This bug needs to be updated, as it is now just a general problem with full-screen mode, and not just some sites like YouTube. Since updating to 5.5 yesterday, the white border shows up as soon as you go full screen.
As I always browse full screen because of my OLED, I will be cancelling use of Vivaldi.
Thanks for the great browser team! It has been great, maybe Vivaldi will be more usable in a year or two. -
@DoctorG nasty issue, still unfixed.
-
I am also experiencing a border around all full screen video streaming services such as youtube/hulu/prime/netflix
I hope the devs find a fix for this soon as i've been using this as my main browser for years and would like to continue.
