Solved Tab Muting- Google Voice

I have to use Google Voice for work. Every time I open it the tab is automatically muted. I have checked my Voice settings, tried changing my tab settings and nothing is working. In order to use it I have to click the tab a few times, to unmute, and then test my sound to see that it is then working. That does not let me actually answer a phone call when it rings lol.
Any suggestions? If this helps- it happens in Chrome too, which is one of the reasons I switched to Vivaldi in the first place lol.

AH HA - it was the chrome://settings/content/sound one - how did that get on there! I so appreciate your help as I have been looking on my own for weeks.

Are you using any extensions? I don't use Google Voice, so I can't test this myself. But I'd start with checking in Settings > Tabs > Tab Features if "Mute Tab Audio" is set to "Play All Audio". Next, check if Settings > Privacy > Default Permissions > Sound is set to "Allow". And the last thing that I can think of is checking
chrome://settings/content/soundto make sure that the website in question is not on the "Not allowed to play sound" list. -
