[Calendar] Invalid time format with Finnish locale (VB-90504)
I have had a problem with date/locale for long as I have used Vivaldi. Maybe related to that above thing?
Here's stable language settings:
And snapshot (2753.15):
- Notice the additional
tpm
attached to the end of the month name (Augusttpm
) - On stable, the seconds are shown but not in the snapshot.
Here's my Linux Mint 20.3 Cinnamon language settings:
And here's
locale
output:LANG=en_US.UTF-8 LANGUAGE=en_US LC_CTYPE="en_US.UTF-8" LC_NUMERIC=fi_FI.UTF-8 LC_TIME=fi_FI.UTF-8 LC_COLLATE="en_US.UTF-8" LC_MONETARY=fi_FI.UTF-8 LC_MESSAGES="en_US.UTF-8" LC_PAPER=fi_FI.UTF-8 LC_NAME=fi_FI.UTF-8 LC_ADDRESS=fi_FI.UTF-8 LC_TELEPHONE=fi_FI.UTF-8 LC_MEASUREMENT=fi_FI.UTF-8 LC_IDENTIFICATION=fi_FI.UTF-8 LC_ALL=
(LC_COLLATE is wrong at the moment, I thought I had permanently changed it to "fi_FI.UTF-8" but it seems to have been reverted back to system default.. shouldn't matter since it affects only sorting)
And here's
locale -k LC_TIME
output:abday="su;ma;ti;ke;to;pe;la" day="sunnuntai;maanantai;tiistai;keskiviikko;torstai;perjantai;lauantai" abmon="tammi;helmi;maalis;huhti;touko;kesä;heinä;elo;syys;loka;marras;joulu" mon="tammikuu;helmikuu;maaliskuu;huhtikuu;toukokuu;kesäkuu;heinäkuu;elokuu;syyskuu;lokakuu;marraskuu;joulukuu" am_pm=";" d_t_fmt="%a %e. %Bta %Y %H.%M.%S" d_fmt="%d.%m.%Y" t_fmt="%H.%M.%S" t_fmt_ampm="" era= era_year="" era_d_fmt="" alt_digits= era_d_t_fmt="" era_t_fmt="" time-era-num-entries=0 time-era-entries="s" week-ndays=7 week-1stday=19971130 week-1stweek=4 first_weekday=2 first_workday=2 cal_direction=1 timezone="" date_fmt="%a %-d.%-m.%Y %H.%M.%S %z" time-codeset="UTF-8" alt_mon="tammikuu;helmikuu;maaliskuu;huhtikuu;toukokuu;kesäkuu;heinäkuu;elokuu;syyskuu;lokakuu;marraskuu;joulukuu" ab_alt_mon="tammi;helmi;maalis;huhti;touko;kesä;heinä;elo;syys;loka;marras;joulu"
So where does the additional
tpm
for month name come from?EDIT: And why is Vivaldi showing dates in English if "Inherit from Operating System" is selected? I can see dates in Finnish in the Linux Mint system as expected.
- Notice the additional

There is a problem with the Vivaldi "Address Bar -> Always Use Secure Connection (HTTPS)" setting/feature.
If it is on, opening a not secure HTTP link to a new tab (or to a background tab) ends up in this:
Empty page and address bar.
When opening the same link directly in the same tab (or writing the address to a new tab address bar), this happens:
As expected.
The link used in these examples: http://fingerpori.org
