Why does this just seem like a perfect Abbott & Costello homage?
-
@Pathduck Or you could just turn your Linux box into a VCR

Uncertain how well known Dr. Seuss is around the world, but a certain user's profile picture always makes me think of one of his books. After changing a few colors around, the similarities are uncanny.
Although a reverse image search does show that it is probably a cropping of this album cover. -
@nomadic Bigly impressive eagle-eyes & detectivising-skills you have there!

Sigh, we're gonna need more walls.

Brushing aside the differences between parties is no way to guarantee the stability of a system. It only places a lid on simmering water until the pot inevitably boils over
No wonder we are killing Gaia, when so many peeps remain so stunningly ignorant of basic physics etc. Geeez!

Just look at what that naughty McCartney has got up to now!

@guigirl Isn't this a case where the walrus is not Paul?
-
@sgunhouse Yes, tis true. i had my pathetic pun in mind the instant i saw the lead photo but before i read the article body. Once i realised that in fact it's Pauline, i decided to trust & hope that

.......................................................................................................................
.......................................................................................................................As alluded to elsewhere by @luetage, is a senior developer relations employee of
another browser
posting here on the forum, whose job is, in a way, to advertise the code of said browser, not in violation of the self-promotion aspect of the code of conduct?If anything it seems in poor taste if not a clear violation.
Also, probably best to not mention the offending browser's name to avoid drawing the attention of the other browser's employee.

@nomadic There's no rule against it. Our idea, in the main, is that Vivaldi speaks for itself and stands on its own. People may come here (and have) to promote basically any other browser but, on the merits, if someone is here for what Vivaldi offers, they won't be going anywhere else. If they are here for things Vivaldi doesn't offer, they'll figure that out soon enough.
-
@Ayespy Well, there is a rule against it. But I’d say it would be petty to ban him over it and it might not give Vivaldi a good look. But make no mistake, he is only here in the interest of Brave browser and the privacy test site and has no interest in Vivaldi whatsoever.
-
@luetage That's pretty clear.
-
The issue has been thoroughly discussed both on the forums and internally. We have decided to close that topic, as it went off track. No bans were served (for now
).
