Snap layouts, and a few fixes – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2737.3
-
Wow! Friday snappie is back on track!
-
@ian-coog: yeah, unfortunately. It's VB-90570.
-
@Aronand VB-82583 creates a empty transparent ghost window for about ¼ sec, shows gray Vivaldi UI for 1 sec and then shows the complete UI.
Weird experience. -
@Aronand Yes, this and the Autohide Windows taskbar issue are significant accessibility issues.
-
@doctorg: Can you make a bug on it, and I'll have a look a little later today?
-
@Aronand I will do.
VB-90571 "Ghost window and empty UI after start" -
Friday Snapshot always appreciated, even if it breaks some small things
[Bookmark panel] Scrollbar position is duplicated(VB-90264)
So, you manage to fix this (
nobody
needs this! ), but not my pet of not being able to use LeftArrow to close treeview folders (if sorted by Title), that's a full year old now (VB-81261) and important to us warriors[Navigation] Cannot use Alt+(Right Arrow) on start page to navigate through history
Wow, this must've been an old one, that's been annoying me for years
[Themes] Color picker in Calendar setting not keyboard navigatable (VB-72244)
Another win for !
[Themes] Insufficient contrast in dark theme (VB-90400)
Probably not related to this, but my nice Red Stars theme still looks like a salmon died on it (it's supposed to be dark red!) ...
-
@ian-coog: There's also a small border at the sides, which weren't there, usually when I want to scroll I just smash my cursor to the left (tabs on right) and scroll up/down, now I have to mind the invisible border.
-
14th updated
Is there a way to change the metal flag back to default with Vivaldi snapshot closed? (can't do it with snapshot open due to graphics bugs)
-
@aronand: I read about VB-90476 but did the upgrade anyway because I didn't want to keep seeing the Upgrade Ready icon. VB-90476 has bitten me because now I can't throw my mouse cursor against the screen edge to drag the scroll bar (or click there to jump up and down in the page). This is indeed super annoying. I do hope you guys can fix it soon. Have a great weekend!
-
Since the previous version, sometimes the browser closes when closing multiple tabs. It has happened when closing - with the appropriate mouse gesture - all tabs to the right being in the first tab. Anybody else with the same observation?
-
after updating the full screen browser window blocks the windows taskbar when set to pop up , drove me crazy had to roll back will make a report
-
@christiehmalry There is not much point testing Snapshots if you cannot deal with bugs. Just hang in there for a few days. Press the Window key to show the task bar.

That is the same issue yes, its an annoyance, but hopefully we can have a fix for it pretty soon.
-
is it a bug or a feature?
my rss feeds are alphabetically sortedbut still I can't
rearrange orgroup them as I like€dit: ok, renaming does the trick for rearranging them, that's definitely new
-
@pesala: youre right, sorry
-
[Windows] Unclickable frame around whole application in fullscreen and maximized window (VB-90476)
Linux users: phew!
[Focus] New tab page is not focused (VB-90476)
I am crying now

I am crying now
From happiness or sadness?
Thing is, if you don't want that, now also all opened tabs have focus in address field... meaning I have to focus the web page for every new tab
And I want the new tab Start Page to have focus in the URL field, so I need the setting off... but I don't want every single bloody new tab to have focus in the URL field. If it's a web page - focus the page.
-
@christiehmalry Interestingly, the Windows taskbar appears just fine on mouse over on my secondary monitor.

So you want exception only for the StartPage?
