I have tried different chromium browsers but only when I use Vivaldi i face the overheating & fans make louder noise on my laptop. Previously I have used Vivaldi on windows & there was no such issue on windows. Tried a different distro, DE & right now using a simple Window Manager.

For me overheating was reduced with 22.04 Ubuntu, so maybe try something else.

Hi, start with --disable-gpu first, it disabled the hardware acceleration completely.

                    Cheers, mib

Are you using a desktop compositor.?.If so please disable and try again.
i was experiencing the same and it was a compositing issue.
