@guigirl You have posted an incorrect answer to the Turing Test. The correct answer is "everyone."

................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................@Ayespy Oh! I saw you'd posted, & i expected it was for the Ban Hammer. I was / am fully prepared for it, but i still wanted to vent my spleen no matter how briefly it might survive.

so why have others here magically presumed Manjaro?
it's in the signature you sillygirl

@npro Oh damnit! That's it, the final straw; i shall now disable the VFM option that hides Sigs, coz i am constantly too dimwitted to remember that i actually have hidden them.
Ta. What a dummy! -
Well, I put up a file request link to help someone diagnose a clash between some mods (post), but I didn't only get the files I was expecting...
Some other user known only as "happy puppy" uploaded these 2 images:
Who were you happy puppy? What were you trying to tell me?
Truly a mystery for the ages.
-
@nomadic There's apparently a backstory here of which i have total ignorance, hence your post is only able to be seen by me in a whimsical light.
Is it "someone" in the forum who uses PuppyLinux, perchance?
-
@guigirl Edited it and added a link to the other thread in question.
Disabled the link to prevent any further hijinks.

Have scarcely heard mention of that distro in months. Used to seem like it was mentioned here

times a day. -

Oh, I thought you were talking about forum mod(erators) clashing and went looking for a thread

VMWare causing vomits for me; they do not give my VM a 3D accel (HWA), only paid customers with contract get VMWare Tools.
And VirtualBox is not working at all for 3D accel (HWA) on Linux Guests. Hahaha, guess who build the crappy VMSVGA driver …?? You know!? VMWare did such crap.

I used VB for several years, & had a real love/hate relationship with its 3DA. For some of my VMs it worked fine, reliably, over the longterm. For others, i could never get it to work at all. For more others, it fell in-between, being sometimes good & sometimes shyte.
I changed from VB to qemu/libvirt/virt-manager several months ago, which is far better than VB in many ways, but re its 3DA, i've not been smart enough to get it working without breaking other things. However, i know that you are smart enough, so maybe you could try this?
Pre-2014, still in win7 back then, VMWare seemed to work reasonably ok for me, but for the majority of the time since i've kissed penguins, it's been mostly broken & i abandoned bothering with it years ago.

General Question.
If i were to say that this is the second-last question i shall ask, what is the answer?
-
Ooh, so close!

So, all's good, then.

Inspired by innovative concepts like this, i realised what V has been lacking for me all this time. It's
TSTthe ability to make my V window jump from desktop1 to desktop4, then shimmer 3x & flip itself upside down, when i'm on dtube, but only on the second Tuesday of the month in leap years. C'mon Devs, get onto it, wouldya? -
@guigirl Which desktop did you say you were using? I recall seeing one in versions on Mandriva which would let you rotate windows and make them semi transparent - I suppose if you used that one ...
