Some users have crashes after starting Vivaldi
I don't remember we Snappiers experiencing these? Did we, & i've forgotten? If i've recalled correctly, then why would 5.3 Stable crash when 5.3 Snappies did not? Afaik this same pattern arose with several previous Stables too, when the Snappies were solid. I don't understand.
-
@guigirl That is true.
Appimage format would be most appreciated.I use the debian on my machine. -
@guigirl Because of incremental upgrades I suppose, hickups much more manageable and traceable that way instead of jumping versions, kinda like the rolling vs. fixed distro analogy (aka rolling superiority)
P.S. Also by "some users" I assume a fraction of MS Windows users is meant, it being the dominant OS.

Yes, only some Windows users are affected, but still a significant number of users given how dominant an OS it is.

@catweazle: Yes, that crash on startup is why the autoupdate was disabled. The devs are working on a fix.
-
I updated to the new browser. Now it will not stay open. It just crashes. All of my business partner portals are on there.
-
Well, that's a very good update, the flickering is gone and the Browser is fast again. Thank you community.
-
@doctorg: ah great, I jumped on the update when Vivaldi offered it and now I can't use it anymore on my main PC... wonderful...
I guess I'll disable auto updates and check myself from now on..

So in Chromium 101 and/or 102 more things got broken:
- the flag #fill-on-account-select seems to already make its comeback
- disabling JavaScript has no effect (always active, now also requires 3rd party to achieve)

Updated a few machines -
I just opened this page in Opera 12.18. It's incredible how it still works so good. Still not late for someone to save Presto engine. There is not so much new stuff in web standards lately...
-
@senja First of all it is property of that chinese company, secondly it was leaked to the dark web some time ago, not a very smart idea licensing or buying it, excluding the titanic amount of work it would require to bring it to todays "standards", security wise and so on, and not just rendering a couple of webpages right.

@npro Display Trash Can ! I didn't know that option, and that was exactly what I was looking for ..!! Thank you

In Mail, under context menu "Move", subfolders are now not listed as "Folder.Subfolder" but just as "Subfolder". This is confusing for several reasons:
- There may be subfolders with the same name but in different folders.
- The way I usually look for a subfolder is by looking for its folder name first. This completely messes up the way I have to look for a folder now.
-
It says for me that "You're up to date!" and I'm at v5.2.2623.48, "Check for Updates" doesn't show me the new version. At the moment, the only option is to download the installer from the download link and install it.
I have waited like over 8 hours that it will be updated in the upstream, but still no changes.
FYI, I'm using the Windows 10. -
@sbv95 , I think it's because of an issue that caused several crashes for Windos user. The devs currently try to fix it. Better is to wait a bit more for the update.

It was pulled also at least from their linux deb repo. I saw the update
readyavailable to install in my linux mint "update manager" but some time later it wasn't available anymore (I didn't update it because I saw the crash messages here).
