was redundant
was not, you said "Too bad you are not using Windows ", not "here on Windows it works"

@npro Flagged! for teasing innocent user.
-
@juanvase Good job! Did you pay attention on not flagging the post but the user? In case you missed it with the new model the first one grants you only 100 upvotes for a month but the second a 1000! Not sure if you can do both now, but worth a try imo for 1100! .
-
@juanvase yeah you keep upvoting and upvoting me without remorse and constraints of course, seems like you are enjoying your 1100 upvotes now that you 've framed me
-
known bug, that the privacy statistics font is very blurry?
Win10 21H2

@npro sorry, Forgive and forget, I say. nothing better than sorry so I take my leave. wish you Good day
-
@derDay I can confirm that for Windows 11. I update bug tracker now.
-
@juanvase Bye, bye

There's something fishy with syncing settings, and that in this snapshot seems to affect my stable instance too (both synced to the same account). From time to time I get the search field popping up after me disabling it (snapshot) and weird stuff like extension buttons appearing to the left of the address field even though I've never placed them there (stable).
-
@killchain It's highly discouraged to sync snapshot with stable releases. There are a lot of changes between versions, sometimes to critical data structures that could cause all kinds of strange issues. If you need Sync with both, create a second account.

An e-mail fetch loop was solved for me but the fetch process stalls without any visible error:
The message causing the previous loop is now fetched and renders correctly. The client also fetched more than a thousand messages but never finishes as the above image shows.
p.s. This situation does not stall the full client since after getting some messages the prefetching status changed to:
-
The Raindrop extension is still opening popups as windows, dunno if this is an issue caused by the snapshot or some extension update tho.

My faith in the Team has been rewarded! ([macOS] Opening URL not working if no window open (VB-85202)

You thought I wouldn't notice the new and improved toolbar editor?!? I can put the address bar in the status toolbar if I so please now!
Does it then display the flakey behavior of Opera !!? (The field is in flux, making icons for Reload, etc. moving targets...)
-
I'd like to know what the hell is causing background notifications from service workers to not pop up if there isn't an active tab of the site it's meant to get the notifications from without me having to go full scorched earth and completely reset my ancient browser config, because I tried that and it's just too much.

Aha! Finally, my nagging question is answered! I won't get in Dutch for creating more than one Vivaldi account...
(Back to testing...

My question is: Why?
Why does the browser have to render every single step along the way when moving buttons, when moving notes/bookmarks and when moving tabs (detached mode) ?
The problem with this is that at high tab counts (600+), it takes a lot for the browser to render even a single frame of such UI changes. My question is: When rendering is slow, why can't we jump straight to rendering the last and most important frame?
Why do we have to lag through all the frames?
Why doesn't this have any effect on this behavior?

Because the feature is still under development and you're testing unfinished software.
-
@Pathduck Is moving note/bookmarks and tabs (detached mode) still under active development? The same happens in a clean profile with the buttons at 200+ tabs, with no in-development experiments activated. Want me to check Stable too? I definitely could.
I guess I cannot ask anyone to fix nor optimize anything, even if it's been developed long ago (as is the case with moving notes/bookmarks).
.
.
.
I've got plenty of stuff on the in-development stuff too, much of it already discussed and even reported, but I'll never get to doing my work if I let myself get started on that. Besides, I'm sure that one user the whole operation has to rely on will eventually find, get the time to find the exact consistent repro steps (hey could someone do me a favor and find the exact treshold at which moving tabs the normal way stops working? k thx, I promise I'll pay you big mate
) and report the bug I and others didn't have time for, else it'll stay there for months, chances are it'll do that even if reported.
I could use Stable, but then I'd have to wait the extra month for that specific quickly-fixed bug which skipped the minor versions to disappear with a major release and that's... so much more stable and ready for use, I guess...
Best I can do is appreciate Vivaldi and associates are at least trying to provide the browser I could recommend, and try to help by pointing out where improvements are needed. I apologize for not saying "hey I noticed the browser is doing this in version xxx. xxx and without this experiment" because it would have been considered more complete and respectful despite being functionally the same.
