@guigirl yay!

Anyone having trouble resizing the searchbox?
-
@cheekybuddha Known issue from previous Snapshot
-
Thanks, I skipped the previous snapshot due to the panel overlay issue so hadn't noticed.
-
Read mails shown as unread after the update. I needed to mark them as unread again before I was able to remove them from the views where they did not belong to.

About the frequent crash, @guigirl says
@ryofurue and @Coplen Did you notice https://forum.vivaldi.net/post/575937?
The standard diagnostic technique, when experiencing adverse symptoms, begins with attempting to verify the symptoms in a clean profile. Unless you want it so, that is NOT supposed to be the end of the diagnostics. All that proves is that something is faulty in your profile, not that the entire profile is corrupt.I know. No offense intended, but I'm just a user with some willingness to help debug some problems. I will not spend more time or efforts to carry out such a deeper debug as you describe.
So, I need to know. Should I wait some more? Or should I erase my profiles now? Nothing inbetween.
For one thing, I don't find an official (or semi-official) statement on what the developers recommend to users having this crash problem. Perhaps they are on vacation? If so, I'll just wait for a few weeks.

@janrif:
Not sure who gave you the idea that we're not
If you go through the last snapshots you might notice that Mail/Calendar not only pops up every snapshot (apart from a few single fix/security fix ones), but the following snapshots have all had more Mail/Calendar fixes than other fixes combined- March 25, 2022 - Syncable Search Engines (2621-3)
- March 29, 2022 - A few small changes (2623-4)
- March 31, 2022 - Mail and calendar improvements (2623-10)
- April 1, 2022 - Getting Closer (2623-12)
And even the other ones there's still a long changelog
- March 21, 2022 - Underlying mail changes (2617-2)
- April 13, 2022 - Lots of crash fixes (2643-3)
And these are all just within a month (last ~31 days)
-
Search engines like Google,Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, Wikipedia get duplicated at EVERY snapshot update, adding "1" at the end of the nickname to the new one, and I continually remove one, hoping the next update I can keep my engines clean... snort

Still wondering if the 5.2+ phenomenon (continuing now into 5.3) of the coloration of extension icons (specifically, when numbers are used on the icons, like UBlock Origin does, for example) being tied to the Highlight color in the theme is a bug or a feature.
All extension icons that use numbers are forced to use it now, whereas before extensions had the freedom to use the color the author chose to use.
-
@vongalin: but you can still ask in the mods thread as suggested. Could be easy to fix.
-
Use this kind of code:
button[title="Stylus"] .button-badge { background-color: #217c7a; color: #d8d8d8;}

@barbudo2005 said in Yay… it's Friday – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2652.3:
Use this kind of code:
Yes, you could do that, but you'd still be stuck managing colors for your icons when you didn't have to do that before.
It's unclear to me why this was changed.
-
You are right, but while it is being corrected, it is a simple solution.
-
Only one more day til Friday. Goody goody yum yum...

I've decided to start using Vivaldi mail as my mail client and I'm trying to setup it up.
Here's a problem I faced when setting a filter:
1st picture: register "info" as a filter and as a label
2nd picture: result - filter added
3rd picture: result - label added
4th picture: here is how the label shows on a mail message
From "info" to "+1". Why is that?

PS The exact same thing happens when adding "Bills" as filter and as a label -
I am sure it was mentioned before, just in case
