it might seem like a small thing but when you press CTRL H, Search does not receive focus.

Please consider making search receive focus.

@dalinar Hi - it works here, are you on the latest version?

Search is focused both in History page and in History panel when opened.

I'm on 5.2 now and yes it still doesn't. By search I mean the Search Box

I see no cursor in it AND typing does nothing, until i click it

do you think it might be an extension I have? I have multiple extensions

@dalinar Might be, no idea. It works here.

Please try the troubleshooting steps including testing in a clean profile:

I've noticed this for some time as well. Figured it was just one of those quirks. But apparently not.

Works fine in the panel, but not on the page using CTRL+H.

                • What is your OS and system information from Help > About?
                • Have you tested in a clean profile as per the troubleshooting steps I posted?
                • Does the same happen if you use the menu, Tools > History?
                • What about right-click the panel button, open in, new tab/new window/current tab etc?
                • What about opening Quick Commands (F2), typing 'history' and selecting the entry?
                • What about remapping the hotkey for History to something else just for a test?

So i got a little curious...

Turns out it's related to the view that's selected. Using List/Day/Week the focus on the search box works as expected. Changing to Month (which is my default) and it doesn't.

Curious to know if dalinar use the same, but this was tested on a new guest account, and confirmed on my current install. So looks like a bug.

A little curiosity is often all it takes ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ‘

I can confirm, tested in a clean profile of 5.2 Stable, Win10 x64. Good find ๐Ÿ‘
