Ok, thanks. I didn't realize it was connected to DevTools. It has been occurring even when I'm not (conciously) using DT.

BTW, I think you misspelled "Windwos". It should be Wind-woes!

Yes. I also, like @DoctorG, use KDE. But it seems to me that x errors should be common to any desktop chosen.

The file actually grew to hundreds of GB the other day, which is how I was alerted to the problem. But in that case it was the Shutter utility doing something. I Removed it so it's no longer a factor.

In Windows i can see such errors only in DevTools Console as Windows has no output to a error log or shell.

@doctorg @paul1149 Yes but my DE is also KDE. If that path is correct, ie, a dot file in the user's home directory as per my path in my terminal paste above, then i definitely do not have that file.
Maybe it's not a KDE thing, but a distro thing. I use Arch, you both are using debian-based distros atm aren't you?

I am - MX21/kde

@paul1149 Right. DoctorG uses Win 11 . Debian KDE . Manjaro KDE . Mint XFCE . Ubuntu GNOME, so atm i'm going to deduce she was booted into her Debian KDE when she replied to me before. I suspect if she boots into her MJ, she will not have that file.

True! Such file does not exist on my Manjaro 21 KDE.
