Can't connect via 3rd party app
-
I'm with Aquamail and no problems till today. as @mib2berlin said the settings are filled automatically.
Anyway check if your setts are filled right way: https://help.vivaldi.com/services/webmail/setting-up-vivaldi-mail-in-a-mail-client/#Server_settings
- Error 3011. Unable to Connect to server
This error means your device cannot connect to your providerβs mail server. It can be anything from no network, intermittent or unstable network, or even a good internet connection in general but inability to reach your specific providerβs mail server.
Check if you're behind some firewall, VPN or is about the own Android setts that not allow connect email client to server...but is weird that the error is only outgoing emails and not including also the incoming emails
- Error 3011. Unable to Connect to server

Those settings are filled corectly. Other mail (Gmail) works within apps.
K-9 prompted "no adress asscieted with hostname". -
There was also another message: "socket exeption: software caused connection abortion".
-
@texlozome It means "No exist that email account for this server" this is different than before stuff, check your user name.
K-9 also gives you the chance to check everything before add the new email account, even shows you the servers, ports, protocols, etc: Confirm all settings are right
K-9 Tested and running
Take care each single character you type, but sure you writing without mistakes.

It doesn't.
It means there's an error in the dns resolution.
-
@texlozome Can you check https://www.whatismyip.com from your phone? I'd like to know if it shows a public IPv4-Adress for you.

Indeed, it looks exactly like a DNS resolution error.
We have seen some cases like this before; certain mobile ISPs in some countries have been known to intercept and block DNS requests for vivaldi.net (PLDT in the Philippines is one such ISP known to be guilty of doing this). It may be that this is the cause of the problem in your case.
They are able to block the DNS requests regardless of which DNS servers you use - the only known workaround is to use DNS-over-HTTPS as this is encrypted.
-
@max06net It does.
-
@texlozome then @thomasp is most likely right, your provider filters dns queries.
-
@thomasp That did the trick. Just by starting Nebulo I was able to connect and sent an email.
-
@max06net I had referred at above msg. The "socket exception" error was write while I wrote comment: "crossed msgs"
The rest of today afternoon I been in a show, I've not been able to see the replies until now.
-
@obiwan2208 I've seen your name on the first message, so I assumed you meant the "no adress asscieted with hostname". Which is still a dns error
