Solved False Insecure Site Message
-
A couple of days ago I started getting an "insecure site" message for any site I went to after the first or second one. I close the browser, reopen it and go to the site and it works just fine. However, I get the insecure site dead bird screen again on the third site I go to. I reinstalled Vivaldi and it continues. I checked it on my laptop and Vivaldi works just fine. Is there a setting I need to adjust on my desktop?

@hadden89 I closed the DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials extension and it seems to have been the problem because the browser is working fine. Thank you for you advice.

@z6k95mj We need to know:
- URLs affected (screenshot of the message also will be helpful);
- Extensions installed (as the pattern of how are shown such issues let me think to an hijacking extension);
- If you tested with any extension disabled, in a private windows (CTRL+shift+N) or a whole new profile.

@z6k95mj Test this site https://tls-v1-2.badssl.com:1012 , should show the green lock.
If not, some of your installed security tools break SSL connections or Windows itself and/or Windows root certificate store is outdated or you (i do not hope this for you!) have malware on your PC.
