Hi,
Loving Vivaldi, but there's one really trifling detail I miss having moved from Chrome - in Chrome, when you are about to search with a saved search engine from the main bar, it highlights that with a blue section that displays "search [x]" (see attached screenshot). Could you implement something similar in Vivaldi? I just like that little visual cue that your query will be sent directly to the search engine!

I'd like to be able to have keyboard shortcuts for changing or cycling views and options of tabs.
I.e. cycle between top/right/left/bottom, and toggle options like showing thumbnails or not.
Or ideally, like as advanced settings, I can create and assign keyboard shortcuts for each setting option.

Sometimes the Session gets lost due to browser crashing or whatever reason.
A must feature would be to save the current setup of tabs and paneels in a file and making those easily available just like the bin as a button. In this way one could have different tab setups for different times of the day. Work for work and private for private and so on.
Another thing that automatically comes to mind would be a general "must-tabs" setup. So you could let's say right click a tab and make it "special" so the offline data is treated as more important and that it always should be there.
I guess lots of people have their always around tabs like messengers (who wants to install a thousand apps if you can just open the stuff as tabs) email online clients and so on.Please feel free to ask if I am being unclear.

I'm still using Opera 12.17 and Vivaldi because few of important features are missing ! ( I cannot believe that they release even a major version without does.)

Is it possible to add readability mode similar to firefox to vivaldi as well? It is great to read wikipedia pages, news -editorials in readability mode. In firefox there is an icon on the right side of address bar which gets activated if a page has readable content (I guess presence of
tags). When you select it, it removes all the clutter and displays relevant text and pictures only.

There may be an extension for it. It's not built-in yet.

Vivaldi is so far amazing but a few features I would like to see are:
- History as a dedicated panel
- Being able to choose a custom image for a bookmarks thumbnail in speed dial
- Being able to open a link in a tab stack with the current tab, either as a new or existing tab stack
- Downloading files to certain folders based on type, similar to what Internet Download Manager does
The existing amount of features and customization are really great but these few features would make Vivaldi even better for me, and maybe others too. Thanks!

Don´t know, if it´s already been requested, but i´d like to request that, if you click with the middle button on an empty place on the title bar, a new tab would open, as it´s atm in the Firefox and as it was in the old Opera 12.
It´s always annoying to find the right spot for the New Tab-Button, as there are some pixels above the button, who are not reacting on a click, and also as the button is also always on an other position, related to the number of tabs that were open.

Middle-click and double-click on an empty space in the tab bar both create a new tab.

On a middleclick there doesn´s happen anything, and on an doubleclick the window only maximizes or gets back to its original size.
Btw.: my tab bar is my title bar, is that important?Edit: OK, it seems it is important…
I activated the option "Use Native Window" and after that I could use the middleclick on the tab bar to open a new tab. But now I´m left with an awfull white titlebar, whitch doesn´t fit into my dark style I use.
It would be nice, when these function would also work, when I don´t use the "Native Window"-option.

Btw.: my tab bar is my title bar, is that important?I don't know, but maybe so. You are the third I've seen report this odd behavior, so I moved my tabs to the top of the browser (I normally keep them on the right side), and I'll be damned if it doesn't happen to me, too. Tabs on side, works as expected. Tabs on top, either with or without horizontal menu, double-click re-sizes the browser, and middle-click does nothing. I'll make a bug report.

I feel like having animations when tabs are closed (like chrome) will make things feel a lot smoother than they currently. It makes the change in position of the tabs a lot clearer.

keyboard shortcuts + mouse feature:
can I change "Ctr+Shift and Mouse LButton" to "Alt+Shift and Mouse LButton"? -
I would switch browsers if 2 main features were available:
1. Add a keybind-option to open a link/bookmark as a tab in the current stack of tabs
Example: You are in tab 1 in stack 1, press keybind and then the link/bookmark. This causes the link to be opened after the current tab (opened as tab 2 in stack 1)/at the end(opened as 'tab x' in stack 1).2. SYNCHRONIZATION! Please add an option to synchronize settings across multiple computers. At the very least add a way to export your current customization, so you can manually transfer it between computers. It takes a lot of effort to set up the same keybinds/look.
One more small thing that would be nice:
- Add support for dragging bookmarks/open tabs in to the speed-dial folders. Would make it a lot more user-friendly!
Hope this will be implemented, as the features are super-useful!
