Carpet corner

We had a lively discussion about carpets going just a few hours ago. But to my demise all of it was gone when I came back. I just want people to know that it’s ok to like carpets. To quote Taylor Swift, one of the great philosophers of our time: “Haters gonna hate”. Incidentally she looks like a carpet. But is it really by chance? Think about that one.
Anyway, back to non human carpets. Korean carpets are a life long obsession of mine. A prime example:
If that isn’t mouth watering, you gotta be a desert. Please share your carpet thoughts.
-
@saeed20 I’m glad you are mentioning this. You will want to buy the finest Korean carpets, Turkish carpets are crap.
-
@saeed20 The best carpet is no carpet. Put insulation under the flooring if you live in a cold climate. Carpets trap dust mites, dirt, and nasty odours, and aggravate asthma.
-
@pesala What did you just say about Korean carpets? You take that right back, you monster.
-
Oh goody, another nice shiny new spam thread in which to party. Such fun.

I also noticed that it was gone!
Please share your carpet
I approve this thread!
Are carpets from Ikea any good BTW? -
@luetage This one won't turn you into a desert.
-
Carpets are a health hazard due to dust mites, and since most are made with polyester, they are an environmental nightmare. If you live in cold climates and feel that you must have one, choose natural fibres like wool.
As a Buddhist, how do you clean a carpet without destroying life?
-
I was so upset when i came back this morning, eager to glean the latest news of all things carpetty, only to discover that some evil monster had destroyed the one source of joy left in this bleak pre-apocalyptic world. Thank Zarquon for the wisdom of @luetage in salvaging the final hope for humanity.
There really should be public holidays, statues, & fireworks.

Oooh, magic. The Great Zarquon has partly reconstituted the missing posts, from the
spamoops wunnerful ex-thread. Praise be, Zarquon, aka @paff.... -
-
@tbgbe It's always easy not to mix them up. Never ever has "carpet" been used as a colloquialism for "toupee".
-
What Franny and Zooey lacked was?
It's kotatsu.
-
@guigirl True, but carpet HAS also been used as a colloquialism
-
-
@tbgbe Are you implying we are the Rugeteers?
-
@luetage No, Rugrats !!
