user with dementia

I am having difficulty syncing my browser. It keeps asking for a password that I have not (as far as I know) and it keeps deleting data when I try to reset it. Can someone please help.
-
@sennitreborius It is asking you for your encryption password? Try your Vivaldi password, the password you used to log-in to this site.
-
@eggcorn where do I find that?
-
@sennitreborius How did you log-into this website?
-
@eggcorn my computer remembers all that.
-
@sennitreborius What program on your computer remembers that? Do you use Vivaldi's built-in password manager? Or do you use a 3rd party one, like 1Password?
-
@eggcorn Sorry, have a hospital appointment will be gone for a hour or so.

I just click on the desktop icon. Sorry have to go.

@sennitreborius Sounds like you use the built-in Vivaldi password manager. You need a better way to remember your passwords! The Vivaldi password manager isn't meant to help you remember your passwords, just to make it easier for you to log-into sites. Without a better way to remember your passwords, you're just going to keep running into problems like this.
You could write down your usernames and passwords in a notebook, and keep the notebook in a safe place. If you're feeling more industrious, you could use password management software like 1Password (unlike the Vivaldi password manager, 1Password is meant to help you remember your passwords).
But you may have a third option. You said you have dementia. Do you have a trustworthy assistant, someone who helps you manage with your dementia? If so, maybe you could delegate and have your assistant remember your passwords.
