Paywall problems? An easy check...
-
Do you post in multiple forums, sometimes wanting to post -say- a link to an article you've read in a publication to which you subscribe -- but your readers might not?
You can check to see if the publication's paywall keeps those without a subscription out by-
opening a new window
-
changing to another profile
-
opening the link there
Pretty straightforward. Useful? YMMV

@oakdaleftl Good tip
Would probably be faster to open a Guest or a Private Window though, as they don't share login data (cookies) with the regular session

Yikes! I hadn't even thought of those... Never tried 'em. Never thought I had need to...
So: I've just re-invented the wheel, so to speak! Thanks for reminding me again of why I prefer Vivaldi to all the others!So many useful features! Private Window does the trick. As does Guest Window. (Searching for guest in Preferences immediately gives the opportunity to set a keyboard short-cut... I use ^-g which makes me a happy camper! But now I wonder: Was it already there, as a default? Yeah, it was! Must be past my bedtime... )

I knew already that's easier to do your "check" with a private window but of your last answer I now know that I can use a shortcut to open a guest window and that's new to me! brilliant forum -
