Further translate panel improvements – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2473.3

Unfortunately all problems in the popup/mouse gestures department are still here.
-
My panel shortcuts have reappeared or rather they are no longer default baubles well done folks, thought id mention that potential X button for the translate panel input box again, i'd be really cool.
-
@guigirl: i hadn't realised how much id come to rely on the panels its great to no longer be blindly searching for tooltips.

Vivaldi crashes when I want to open a folder in the bookmark bar. Does not concern the folderless links.

@ruarí: My gripe with Chrome's versioning is that they bump the major version number by one even though changes between 94 and 95 aren't as big as changes between 1.0 and 2.0 in most software. They use an inflated version number that doesn't properly represent the amount of changes made between versions for the sake of having the biggest number. It's confusing and unnecessary, and even Mozilla started doing it. I'm glad that Vivaldi still maintains a more traditional versioning scheme that represents the feature set better.

@rotfl: All I see here is "szczszczszcz"

Update error on Win7 x64 from previous snapshot…
On Win10 x64 were no issues.
LE: PC restarted and update is downloading/running OK.

Chrome stable is 95, their current stable and hence also (obviously) secure
prove it!
it should at most be less insecure than 93, innit? if it were perfectly secure, the only reason for chromium getting updates (apart from bloat) would be gone.
-
@rotfl perhaps you should emphasise what the problem is? (i suppose it’s 0 tabs in 0 wins, but…)
@ gg: this is quite likely to be a cr issue, but could be v as well

At least 3 last snapshots.

you seem to have fixed an issue i was having, originally several versions ago i could add panels and the zoom rates stayed separate between the panel and the main page with ''USE TAB ZOOM retain zoom levels when navigating between websites'' unchecked. This allowed me to retain an overall zoom level but have individual zoom levels for certain sites. But then something changed and any site on the main page would resize to the UI default level of the site in panels. As a result i had to check the ''USE TAB ZOOM'' box which meant i had a uniform zoom level on every site, not ideal. Now however the main page (of a site also in panels) no longer resizes to the UI default zoom, unless the panels tab is active when i open the site on the main page, which is a huge improvement.

If Linux users want ffmpeg to be working again with this snapshot, edit localhost:/opt/vivaldi-snapshot/update-ffmpeg, go to line 155, and change the test from "1" to something else, then run the script. Why it thinks SNAP is a good idea, I have not got a clue.

If affected/specific Linux users
'cause I don't have any problems with it. You can find out why if you follow the search results https://forum.vivaldi.net/search?term=snap&in=posts&matchWords=all&by[]=Ruarí&timeRange=7776000&timeFilter=newer&sortBy=relevance&sortDirection=desc&showAs=posts

We want an option for a heart icon for bookmarks by Valentine's Day...

Not sure if I like the new (open) Panel gradient, previous subtle, thin line looked more slick in my opinion, and being one who uses the Panels exclusively (fixed open Panel, no tab bar) previously it felt like the browser is expanding to the whole monitor with its full glory, with sections "politely" tiled as pages, now it looks like another program is tiled to another one, so it feels like the browser is being pressed and "suffocating"a bit :). And yes turning down the contrast adjustment helps, but then it affects other things as well.

Not so here, still all good. Naturally you've also tested in a clean/new/virgin/test profile?
It crashes for me too, even in a test profile.
