Sadly, still no fix for VB-80458
-
And after a reboot, I now only get 26 languages in the list.

Is there something I missed reading about a chat?

@catweazle Ah, but is it a beta option or something? I don't have that option on my end
-
@stormersh Are you replying to the Blog post or to the copy of the blog post in the Vivaldi Forum?

@pesala I was replying to the blog, though it redirects to the forum when I click on the reply mail.

Fantastic!! Best browser. Keep up the great work.

Pressing F8 to close tab is unreliable, I have to press CTRL+W instead to ensure reliability. A very strange and annoying bug, please fix it soon...
-
Damn, just enabled the PWA in experiments yesterday... Still no Brazilian portuguese though!
-
Is the [All progressive web apps] option meant to only be available in the tab context menu? I'd like to be able to add it to the page context menu as well.

@guigirl Autumn and fall in the UK and in the US are interchangeable and mean the same thing. In Iceland, the word is haust, which means interchangeably autumn or fall. In Norway, hΓΈst. Same thing. "Fall" was introduced in England before there was a Merka. "Autumn" is Latin, not of Germanic, Anglo or Celtic origin. And "fall" was good enough for Emely Bronte and Robert Louis Stevenson, So...
But ennyway, Jon and some of the crew live in Magnolia near Gloucester, MA, USA. So mebbe they are less affected by the deprecation of "fall" by the snooty Empire, since both words retain equal usage and respect by Canucks and Yanks.
So wuz I you, I wouldn't waste the energy to be offended...
-
@guigirl Well, the "real" Anglo name of the season is Harvest. So maybe we should all be using that, rather than some sneaky substitute introduced by creeping Romans.
-
@ayespy , the most neutral would be to use 'October', this is true even at the South Pole.

"When using the built-in mail client to access your Gmail, you are no longer logged into all Google services, such as YouTube. So, you can now use a service like Gmail without Google tracking you everywhere."
Well, a question arises, if you are using Gmail, why would you want to block Google services? Why shouldn't Google/Gmail know where you are, after all? Why should Gmail should go through a server in Iceland to connect to you? If I am using Google Maps, don't I want Google to know exactly where I am? The exact speed of my vehicle? And, deliver the email, where I would be? I'd like to understand the idea/moral behind diverting my Gmail through a server in Iceland. Can anyone explain? Or, is it just paranoia?
If my search engine is Microsoft's Bing, what kind of security are we talking about?

I don't think you understand how email works
In an email client you connect directly to GMail's IMAP/POP server. Of course it knows your IP and hence your approximate location based on your ISP, but there are no tracking cookies involved in the email protocol.
If my search engine is Microsoft's Bing, what kind of security are we talking about?
I don't understand how this has to be repeated a thousand times, but Vivaldi lets you change your default search engine, it takes all of 10 seconds to do so...

Doesn't matter, how much it's been repeated...Bing looks in your drawers, just as Google does. You tell me, why I should block Google Maps and/or YouTube?

I don't, so I don't know why you would.

I don't, so I don't know why you would.
Then, why should I block Google services?
