Friday poll - Which Linux distro do you have?
-
It's been a while since the last poll, hasn't it? I guess we ran out of questions, but we've got one for you today.
All you cool people using Linux, let us know which distro you have.
The poll itself can be found in the lower right corner of the Vivaldi.net homepage.
If your distro isn't among the poll options, let us know which one you have in the comments.

@jane-n Done.
Debian / Kubuntu / Ubuntu GNOME / OpenBSD
-
I use Solus with KDE Plasma.
-
Yay, my distro (Other) is leading rn
I use Artix.
Next poll: what windoze 🪟 do you have
(I have just those in the walls, but I believe a certain someone [linuxer forever, windozer for never] has one in a VM ) -
I log in to Linux servers several times a week, does that count? But I don't actually use Linux at home. I used to have a Debian server running at home so I vote that I guess...
Hey-o no votes for Arch Linux, what's up with that - one of the biggest topics on this forum is about Arch. Could it be that Arch users just like to talk a lot about all their problems? Or maybe just one certain Arch user
I prefer Linux X-less, in a TTY and with an uptime of 1000+ days.

Maybe one certain Arch user is sleeping right now… (or flying around on their broom… )

As a newbie Linux Mint (Cinnamon because KDE is no more supported)
However I would try Pop!_OS as soon as I have some free time -
@jane-n After recent incidents
-
@jane-n Two actually
- Linux Mint Cinnamon
- PCLinuxOS (distrowatch) but have to retire that computer
In the past there has also been OpenSuse, Fedora, Manjero, Mageia, and Mandrake.
Looking to try Arch, DragonOS and Kali over the winter. -
@potmeklecbohdan (cc: @hlehyaric ) let's not forget @Steffie as well, right? BlackIkeEagle could also be pinged but I wouldn't want to be that guy who bothers him .
-
I use Linux Mint Cinnamon.
I've been using Linux for a few years. I would say probably since about a year after Vivaldi was released. I haven't reall distro-hopped much. I tried Manjaro and Garuda. But I never really felt anything compel me to switch from Mint.
The only potential issue would be for something like gaming, if a newer kernel was needed for a particular feature. Or just hardware in general (for example, the fan stop feature on my RX570 GPU just started working with 5.11). But there hasn't been anything significant enough for me to need to be on the freshest release.

Just keep in mind that there is some selection bias in a poll which is conducted among a group of, may I say, rather special people: I would imagine that the average Linux user interested in Vivaldi differs from the crowd here, as y'all are probably even more inclined to tinker and are usually even more comfortable and competent configuring a Linux system to your needs than an average dude or dudette.
So I cast my vote to add some counterbalance. Consider that as a compliment

MX here, but I guess the poll is closed already. MX has been on top at DW for many months now. Just saying it probably shouldn't be omitted from the poll.
