-
I have some weird graphical glitch happening around all text on the browser when i open windows outside the browser, it seems to also have something to do with videos playing.

Thanks for the reply, disabling hardware acceleration fixed the issue (hopefully).. -
@dragonfrend Can you give further details?
What is your screen resolution?
What monitor are you using?
Is it a Vivaldi-only issue?
What extensions are you using?
Does it work on a guest profile?
Does this happen only on videos? -
It doesn't happen only on videos, thought it seems to be related to a video playing on the page or on some tab.
My monitor is Samsung odyssey g7 34" 2994x1224.
Yes this seems to happen only on vivaldi, chrome and edge do not have this problem.
Yes it works on a guest profile also.
No its related to videos somehow as if there is no video playing on any tab it does not happen. -
@dragonfrend
Yes it works on a guest profile also
If there arent any issues on a guest profile its a profile only issue, are you running any custom js scripts/page actions? -
Guest profile doesn't fix it, the issue is still there.
-
@dragonfrend Oh, i am sorry i misunderstood
-
@hololoyoj Try disabling uBlock and Dark reader for once
-
Tried it, doesn't do anything.
It seems that if i open two tabs with youtube videos on both of them the issue gets 10x worse and all tabs are affected doesn't matter what content there is on them. -
Things like these are almost always GPU-driver related. Try disabling HW acceleration under Settings > Webpages and restart Vivaldi.
Try updating your GPU drivers.
Please post your GPU specs and the full information from Help > About (in a code block).
Even if you tried Guest profile, try in a completely clean profile:

@dragonfrend Good. Try enabling it, restart and see if it comes back. Then we're sure it's the GPU driver. Try updating it.
What is your GPU?

Im on an Asus Strix g15 10750h 2070m.
Hardware acceleration is definitely the issue if i enable it the issue comes back.Vivaldi 4.0.2312.33 (Stable channel) (64-bit) Revision 75595d1359deaec4b68624c45e95be53e1e6ad13 OS Windows 10 OS Version 2009 (Build 19042.1052) JavaScript V8 9.1.269.36 User Agent Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/91.0.4472.114 Safari/537.36 Command Line "C:\Users\Alex\AppData\Local\Vivaldi\Application\vivaldi.exe" --flag-switches-begin --disable-accelerated-video-decode --disable-accelerated-video-encode --disable-features=HardwareMediaKeyHandling --flag-switches-end --origin-trial-disabled-features=SecurePaymentConfirmation --save-page-as-mhtml Executable Path C:\Users\Alex\AppData\Local\Vivaldi\Application\vivaldi.exe Profile Path C:\Users\Alex\AppData\Local\Vivaldi\User Data\Default

@dragonfrend Really strange for such a good new card, and that it seems to work on Firefox/Chrome...
Maybe there are some special flags you can set to avoid it happening in Vivaldi, but I really don't know.
