This is the exact "feature" that drove me away from a previous browser and made me try Vivalidi!
Right now I'm trying to figure out how to turn it OFF in this browser
(mod edit: Forked OT from feature request to new topic)

What was your previous browser? Even Firefox nowadays has Shortcuts (aka favorite sites) on its Home Screen.

the + for web panels... same thing, the frequently visited sites are still there.
I agree, I don't like this too.

@stardust One of you make a feature request and notify the other about it. You can request it, but posting in a topic that requests exactly the opposite doesn’t make much sense.

I used to use Opera, for a long time. Can't remember quite why but switched to Chrome, and absolutely hated that privacy-invasion thing.
It's why I was looking for alternatives and found Vivaldi.

@luetage "posting in a topic that requests exactly the opposite doesn’t make much sense."
Well it sorts of does, and "search before posting" is what we get told in such places, so...

Good choice!
You can create a new Feature Request to disable site suggestions when adding bookmark or web panel. Or just ignore those suggestions...
The old (opposite) Feature Request has only few votes and unlikely be implemented imo.
-
@biggly You want the opposite of this request. Requests get only logged and approved when somebody makes a dedicated topic in the feature request section. You are talking to users here, we can’t change anything about it.
