The scrollbars within Vivaldi UI have changed, haven’t they?
-
@potmeklecbohdan Thinner. Is it what you noticed?
-
@gwen-dragon I believe it's what was listed here :
@lonm said in On to the next one – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2289.3:
#overlay-scrollbars is back - but doesn't work for me
Edit : maybe something to have in an option (enabled/disabled) for those who like that kind of scrollbar?
-
@ornorm It might be that, if you had that flag enabled. But the designers have been changing some of the other scrollbars, so you might be seeing that too.
Us internal testers had a discussion about this, I'm not sure exactly what the plan is going forward, but I think the long-term aim is for you to be able to choose whether you prefer blocky windows scrollbars or floaty mac scrollbars.
Your edit is good feedback!

Unfortunately a bunch of single-key shortcuts still don't work for me (started around 3.8.2259.21-1_amd64). Things like tab switching on 1/2 work, page scrolling works, however Reload (on r) or Page Zoom In Double (f) do nothing for some reason. I'm sure there's more that have that problem...

@shifte What do you mean?

@shifte To add it as a web panel, is the URL
chrome-extension://something
orhttps://something
? -
@code3
Sorry for the Japanese UI.
You may have to install it.

@shifte I have a very similar issue with a different extension.
Have you submitted a bug report?
-
@code3 @gwen-dragon
Thank yo my friend!!
The problem is, I'm
I don't know what I'm supposed to do. -
@gwen-dragon Ok, if I'm not mistaken, it seems not to be related to the flag #overlay-scrollbars (I disabled it and restarted Viv Snap and the thin scrollbar was still there without any change).
I then noticed that the weight of the scrollbar is defined in the
:root
wherevar(--scrollbarWidth)
= 12px by default (instead of 16px in the previous version)So, for the moment, you won't be able just to disable a flag to have it back; you'll have to mod it temporarily if it's a pain for you.
(and maybe create a feature request to have the option to change its size if that doesn't exist yet) -
@shifte How to report a bug?
https://vivaldi.com/bugreport/ -
@ code3 @ gwen -dragon
May be I filed a bug report.
-
@shifte It crashed for me too.
This is the extension that crashes for me:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/productivity-owl/eoagmdboiealblmpaahjlhajggndaahi/@Gwen-Dragon You said the chrome-extension:// crash is confirmed in the bug tracker?
-
@Gwen-Dragon Ok, Good! I tried another extension at random and it crashed too, so this is not the fault of a specific extension I think.
-
@code3
@gwen-dragon
Thank you very much.
I only know about half the rules of this forum.
But I love all Vivaldi and all forum!
Good night! -
@lonm I hope thick squared one will stay. But I guess so. I really hate thinner rounded and overlay scrolls.
