Extension install button missing

When I select an extension in the Chrome Web Store, there is no button (e.g. Add to Chrome) which lets me install it.
I have already disabled all other extensions. Help!

Thanks a lot. I never would have found out myself.

Well that's a nasty little surprise. I just tried installing an extension and found the same thing, the "add to" button was missing. After deleting cookies, clearing caches and disable all add-ins it seemed something was amiss with the newest version so I logged in to post a thread asking if anyone else was having that problem. Guess everyone is. I didn't see that 'feature' mentioned in the Changelog from 3.5 to 3.6 section of the blog post when this version was released. Not sure why that was added, seems like a solution in search of a problem.

@theJman It’s on by default, therefore you disabled it yourself. But I agree, it shouldn’t be so easy to turn the Google extensions off by accident.

Funny thing is, I never disabled that option myself. I haven't changed the configuration of anything under Privacy/Google Extensions - they're all at the default setting - so I'm at a loss as to how that was no longer selected. I haven't installed an extension for months though so I can't say for certain when it got changed. Since I just upgraded a few days ago I assumed it was then, buy maybe not. However, given that @thrust26 experienced the same issue it certainly seems odd.

In my case it was me who disabled the Web Store.
