Netflix videos doesn´t work :(

Hello together, i am very impressed with the new Vivaldi Browser. I use the snapshot version 1.0.275.3 (Entwickler-Build) dev (64-Bit) on Linux Mint 17.2 Cinnamon 64 bit with the 4.1 Linux-Kernel. All works well, Youtube videos and all videos on many other sides works very good, but just Netflix wont work! Always i get an Errormessage from Netflix with the Code M7355-1203. That is really annoying. With the Google Chrome Browser the Videos on Netflix working well. But i wont use Chrome for Netflix always. What can i do? Thank you for trying to help, i have done all the steps here: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/flash-player-11-problems-playing.html and i have also cleared my flash cache and reseted the licence files and restart the browser. But nothing, it does not help. I can´t play videos on Netflix.
Its still the same Error ^^But thank you for trying to help me. Have someone an other solution? Or must i wait for next vivaldi releases?

The issue, which was also addressed in the threads I mentioned before, is that Vivaldi doesn't currently support certain codecs required for html5 video playback. Netflix uses html to deliver video content instead of Flash, so browsers that don't have support for those codecs will not play videos via Netflix.
However, it seems that some success has been had in spoofing the user agent with an extension. See this post for more about that.
Vivaldi user, rafiki, has contacted the Netflix staff about supporting Vivaldi instead of vice-versa, and was told they'd look into it. See this post for more about that.

the way i see it, at the moment the only browser on Linux to use the HTML5 codec for netflix playback is chrome

Firefox, Maxthon, Chromium, Opera 33.0.1982.0 (that's the "Opera developer" branch, I don't know if the stable branch also does) all have support for those codecs. I'm assuming several others do as well, but those are just the ones other than Vivaldi that I currently have installed. html5test.com is a quick way to see how well your browser supports HTML5. Video codecs can be found under video > codecs. H.264 is generally the issue. You can also test your browser's html5 video codec support at youtube.com/html5

having all the boxes ticked on the H.264 section on html5test.com will not help, or, having all the lovely blue ticks on youtube/html5 also will not help you.

But all the other browser doesnt work too for Netflix on Linux, even they supports html 5. The only Browser that works well is Google Chrome. And the Widevine Content Decryption Module Plugin does not exist for Linux or it seems that you cant install it on Linux, its just integrated in the Google Chrome Browser. But you dont get it for other Browsers.
The Vivaldi Support told me per email, that there is no solution right now for playing videos at Netflix with the Vivaldi Browser, but they are searching for a solution and working on it. But that will need time.

sorry, i should of put in my reply that the Widevine plugin was only available in chrome [all versions]

Ta heaps for you mentioning that you're using the 4.1 kernel in your Cinnamon – it now gives me courage to move up my Mint 17.2 x64 Cinnamon's & KDE's 3.19.x kernels to 4.1 [once i can find from where to download it].
FYI pre-Vivaldi i used to use Erich Hoover's Netflix-Desktop pgm in my Linux Mint to watch NF, but it's become increasingly problematic for several months. I also used the subsequent Pipelight solution, which also used to work well, though more recently when i converted my other pc from Mint 17.1 KDE + Win7 dual-boot to Mint 17.2 KDE single boot i couldn't get it [Pipelight] working properly.
Nowadays since i adopted V as my default browser soon after it was available, but sadly discovered it does not work for NF as you have also discovered, I watch NF as follows. Though i feel very dirty & ashamed for doing this [& hope i can abandon this asap], for now i watch all my NF content each night using [ugh] Chrome running in Mint Cinnamon 17.2 in a VB VM inside my native Mint KDE 17.2.

iya, like me, but i really hope they can bring a solution for the netflix issue with their finale release of Vivaldi Browser. Long time ago i used Opera, then Firefox, as Opera changed things … and now i have to use Firefox if i want to have good privacy (after set the "about:config" settings), Google Chrome if i want that works all well and no problems (like Netflix), and Vivaldi if i want to have a nice n beautiful fast Browser.... but that makes me crazy, i want one Browser for all, and i hope Vivaldi can make that happen some day.

i was so happy, finally Netflix Videos worked fine with Vivaldi. But now, i have updated to the new snapshot Version and i get an Error on Netflix, that the widevine content decryption module is not activated. But it is, i looked into the plug-ins, it is activated and allowed always. But Netflix does not work anymore
Have someone the same problem now?

yeah i had this problem as well, on the netflix page where it says theres a error i'm sure there was a link to a help page and on that it talks about how to update the plugin

It's not, without some sort of modification. Both Netflix and Vivaldi are looking at this, however.

Hi,
On Linux installing Chrome and the package 'chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra' (on Ubuntu) should get Netflix running. Ont other distribution I would assume the same prerequisites exist, but I have only worked on Ubuntu testing Netflix.

Hello. Well, I have Chrome installed and also 'chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra' , but Netflix still tells me that I need to install Silverlight.
I'm using Xubuntu 14.04
