Actually no (but thanks much for this here!).
As explained and shown here (https://forum.vivaldi.net/post/436503) legacy Firefox ESR 59.9 with Tab Mix Plus enabled all the tab rows/levels you wanted. Plus many other options, and along with Colorful Tabs enabled this: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/32916376838_4aae60d303_c.jpg

@dude99: I hear you. I am not sure if Chrome even enables Ctrl+Tab toggle btwn most recently opened tabs yet. As if no one opens more than 2 or 3 tabs.

A well-come long-sought option! I have about 8 browsers (besides profiles) installed and have so far found Vivaldi to be the best among actively supported browsers offering functionality. but I am one who still uses the legacy Firefox 52.9 as a "utility truck." I thank God for you who provide this.

@guigirl: I see, no, not native capability (though Presto-based Opera did) but FF allowed for it, as does Quantum with a hack, while thru the years Chrome users seeking this option (as I did) were told it could not be done. This is definitively a major reason to prefer Vivaldi over Chrome! Glad to see it.

Is there an option to choose how many tabs will show on the top level before spilling over to the 2nd one?

@Saved2Serve As far as I know, the two-level tabs is intended for tab stacking only.

Bad idea! Don't use an outdated web-browser, that's just begging to get your computer hacked. Waterfox might be the way to go. It's like Firefox, but designed to keep support for stuff Firefox has drooped. And if regular Waterfox doesn't work for your utility truck, Waterfox Classic might.

@guigirl: I see. I read "The solution to too many tabs in a tab bar is here – a second tab bar in Vivaldi" and did not look at the images closely and assumed it was what "a second tab bar" meant in Firefox, and I never user Tab Stacking. For me this option is not as good as multiple tab rows but it is better than not having it.

@Sparrows The meaning of full screen is no tabs, panels or bars. Just the page content, nothing else. Full screen = no tabs by definition. Tabs and tab stacks access = not full screen.
To a point, if you look at what Edge has down, sure they have the address bar still visible; but, there is more screen estate as well as the tabs are visible. In Vivialdi, I have to have the tabs take up screen estate, then the two level stacking, which if the first level of tabs could be condensed down to a icon as is the case with the second level tab stacking it would be much, much better.
That is what I call, full screen view.

older browsers can be used as media players if they are not connected to the internet.It may surprise you to know how much lack of security exists server side.
An up to date browser is all good and dandy but not if a large amount of websites are leaking through the cracks. -
I like this feature, guys, but it has one detriment. When viewing a tab in a stack, the popup tab previews for that tab stack are disabled. The previews are the best way to select tabs within a stack, especially when the secondary tab row is reduced to a mere icon. And I keep the secondary row as an icon because I have a vertical tab bar and the row is actually a column. A wide column impinges too much on screen space, plus there is distracting jumping around as you activate stacks and then non-stacks.
All that would be resolved by making the tab previews active on hover over an active tab stack.

@Priest72 If you're not actuality connecting the browser to the Internet, then I suppose. But unless you really know what you're doing, and really know that it's not connected to the Internet: Bad idea!
And yeah, some web servers get compromised. That's part of the reason you don't use an outdated browser. So that a hacked website will have a harder time hacking your computer.

@Eggcorn My apologies to you,my comment was not to disagree with your comment which of course is absolutely correct,but some folks like myself get nostalgic about things and it becomes more apparent with older age.
I used to use firefox prior to coming here to vivaldi and as far as i am concerned v45 was the last real firefox prior to mozilla wrecking it.
I am using v45 purely to play flash content which will not run in my standalone player.
vivaldi has given me the customisation back which mozilla sadly took away. -
Yesterday, I didn't really like tab-staking
But now, i LOVE IT! -
I'm testing the two-level tab stack, but I'm finding it kinda slow. When I open a first level tab its normal, but a second level tab its slow. It seems to be related with the address bar, I disabled the address bar, so when I open a first level tab, the behavior is normal. When I open a second level tab, it also opens an address field (same as F8 shortcut), which is a good behavior, but it may be slowing down the tab opening for some reason.

I'm having the same problem as Helderjfl, where it's a delay when I open a nwe tab inside a tabstack. The tab shows up in the tab bar, but it takes around two seconds before it switches to it. If I click the tab it switches back to the tab I was in.
Great feature otherwise, but I wish there was a way to open a new tab inside the tab stack, without having to press the "new tab"-button. Even better if I could rebind ctrl+T to open a new tab inside the stack, and have ctrl+alt+t open a new tab or something like that. Would make it a lot easier to keep stuff divided into stacks.
