Vivaldi cannot load libGLESv2 even though available
-
Hi,
I am running vivaldi armhf within a Docker on my Jetson Nano which is ARM64 withhUbuntu Bionic.
Vivaldi on startup shows this:
rreddy78@jetson:~/docker-chromium-armhf$ ./armhf-run vivaldi Searching for Docker image ... Found and using 9e6b01b95805 Gtk-Message: 09:04:51.371: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module" Gtk-Message: 09:04:51.372: Failed to load module "canberra-gtk-module" [1:1:1010/090451.448636:ERROR:chrome_content_client.cc(347)] Failed to locate and load the component updated flash plugin. When I log into the container and check the libraries are present:
mediaguy@8623269851c5:/opt/vivaldi$ ls -al total 127504 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 147340 Sep 22 03:02 libEGL.so -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 6196760 Sep 22 03:02 libGLESv2.so mediaguy@8623269851c5:/opt/vivaldi/swiftshader$ ls -al total 1668 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 160228 Sep 22 03:02 libEGL.so -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1534176 Sep 22 03:02 libGLESv2.so
What can be going on ?

I have the same issue on Rasperry Pi 4 with Rasperry Pi OS.
I do not see any kernel message during vivaldi startup with dmesg or by checking /var/log/messages.
libcanberra-gtk* packages are already intalled, except the *-dev ones. Are these really needed for running vivaldi? If yes, can you explain why?

So, looks like I got similar issues and many more… My personal problem is I can’t get video decode to work since gpu initialization fails. Works fine on preinstalled chromium with hardware acceleration fully available. At this point I don’t really know what to do, but stop using Vivaldi on the pi.

Has somebody reported anything about these issues? If we don’t report, nothing will change. Developers generally don’t rummage the forum for bugs.
