Reflecting on 2020: A year of exception
-
It's certainly been a weird and tragic one.
At times I've been reminded of the "ancient" curse: May you live in interesting times.Often I've found myself imagining someone suddenly transported from 2019 and how they would react to a random news broadcast this year - they would probably think it was the end times. Announcements and posters on public transport seem like we're living in some future dystopia: Keep your distance and observe infection protocol.
But Vivaldi really has gone from strength to strength over the year. There are many useful new features (and some ... well, not so much) and the Mail client and RSS reader shows great promise. The browser has also generally been fast and stable for me, and as always the wonderful keyboard accessibility allows very efficient browsing. I still have my pet to care for, but who doesn't?
Here's to hoping 2021 will be much better, that Vivaldi will get lots of attention and more users will keep on coming in!
Happy Holidays to the team and the wonderful friendly community!

Thanks a lot for everything, Jon and all Vivaldi team.
Merry Xmas to everyone.
-
Happy holidays everyone, waiting for Vivaldi to bring us many more beautiful features in 2021.
PS: @Ornorm i borrowed your gif. It's beautiful and it's a great representation of 2020.

@Folgore101 Please be my guest, it's quite the aim of it (spreading the word about Vivaldi by all means )
And, I'm honoured you did use it! -
So go browsers. Currently I am using Opera Vivaldi refusing to download. When Opera messes around, I'll go back to Vivaldi, hoping I won't have to use Chrome or even Firefox which has become a RAM and cpu vacuum. -

Vivaldi refusing to download
Did you try to describe your download issue on the forum to find a solution?
-
@ornorm: Pas facile quand on n'écrit pas anglais couramment. Not easy when you don't write fluent English.
-
@hophop1 There's a French forum board. Le forum possède une section francophone.
-
Thank you, Jon, for always shooting for the stars in innovation and creativity with Opera in the past and Vivaldi in the present.
You and your creations have made my life more enjoyable.

Happy birthday to everyone and all of the Vivaldi's Team, I've been using Vivaldi for two years now and haven't used Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox anymore, Vivaldi is... without questions the most wonderful browser and the most wonderful Internet Suite coming soon!

Magnificent work in 2020 by the Vivaldi Team.
Many Thanks for the greatest browser.
All the best for each and every one of you in 2021. -
Well done for 2020. I am sure 2021 will be better for all of us, including Vivaldi Browser with many more users.
Have been using Vivaldi browser for some time now and am very happy with it as it does everything I need of it plus more. -
Hello,
Thanks to the team developing a unique browser. We have achieved as consumers and you as developers in 2020. As a user of Debian Linux for over 12 years, I am very pleased with the Vivaldi browser. There is no one created so far without competition in everything ... I wish the team an even more successful 2021 and we as consumers will help to make Vivaldi with uncompromising quality and functions that are not created now.
Greetings!

Many thanks to the Vivaldi team for this magnificent Browser, that has become essential and irreplaceable for me since its first version. Not only for its great functionality, but also for being the most democratic in a community just as incomparable.
All my best wishes for 2021 to all of you. -
