What distro do you use?
-
Linux Mint - Debian based
-
Monara–Debian-based. It's an offspring of CrunchBang. I miss CrunchBang very much but Monara is so close it that I can't tell the difference other than the name. I use Awesome and Openbox widow managers. Perfect for me!
-
Using SuSE since early 2000's, I migrated to Ubuntu and disliked it. A short stay on Mint: a LiveCD also included back|track, and I fell in love with it. The distro was discontinued, and the project moved on to Kali Linux, which I run nowadays. It's not meant for normal use, but it works well for me.
I'm multi-platform, and have machines with both Windows 7 and 10, as well as regularly operating Macs.

Interesting, I'm a Crunchbang fan and I recently found BunsenlabsOS but I never knew about this Monara so now thanks to you I'm downloading the 64bit version and hopefully it will be good. I doubt it will beat LXLE for keeping the heat down with my CPU but we will see. I found I couldn't HDAJackReset my line out to the mic port with Bunsenlabs but I can with LXLE, I found I couldn't do it with most distributions so LXLE seems nice.

I tried Monara and it's very good but unfortunately the HDAJack software wouldn't work in the same way it doesn't work on BunsenLabsOS. I also found my CPU was getting hot even without loading anything and therefore I'll have to stick with LXLE for the laptop.

I've just found Voyager linux which is based on Xubuntu but with some lovely features and add-ons. Unfortunately for me this distro is another which has my cpu very hot so I won't be using it on my laptop but if I get a desktop in the near future I might just go with this one as it looks and feels very special. Give it a look asap:
I used the x64 HD version!
-
My main is Debian (holy tools batman), Kali (for when I'm doing cracking/breaking/or testing). And then Arch for when I need super lightweight and portable.
-
Currently on Fedora Workstation, but I used Debian for years before migrating.
-
I am now mostly using Manjaro. Right now I am running the KDE spin of the 16.06 preview, and everything is flawless so far. Great interface, and I much prefer AUR to PPA's for installing software that isn't in official repositories. Now if somebody could combine the pantheon desktop environment from Elementary OS onto Manjaro/Arch, I would have the perfect distribution.

CrunchBangPlusPlus (or #!++): Debian 8 Jessie with Openbox.
-
Arch Linux with Openbox :).

I know it looks crazy to you but I don't pirate stuff
No it doesn't.
You can only pirate freely in certain countries, but Windows is the same whether you buy it or pirate it. The first thing I bought in my life was The Elder Scrolls Online and I expected it to take all of my time, now it's on hold. Pirating may not be ethical and stuff, but if the real thing is just as bad, what's the difference? I'm using Windows 10, I never paid for it, but it's not as good as I would expect it to be, I actually feel sort of good for not spending money on it, since it will most likely take a year or two for it to become as usable as Windows 7 used to be.
I needed Windows so I bought one copy.
For my other devices I didn't need it so I use a Linux distro on them:
I can customize it, it's fast, light and I can do anything I want.If Windows 10 sucks I don't buy it and I don't use it
Why should I steal something that sucks?
So you stole something and you even complain cause it sucksWould you ever steal food or hardware?
I don't steal stuff cause I can
I'm not a moralist, I pirated stuff when I was younger cause I had not a credit card,
but now if I want stuff I buy itI have been using pirated Windows forever now. And it's because I can't afford a single copy. Now, Windows always knows who is using original and who isn't. Here, many offices run pirated copies on like 30+ machines. Windows people raid these then levy fines 4x the original price. Windows' main business is not the consumer but manufacturer installs and businesses.

My main PC I've been playing with MATE Desktop Environment 1.12.1..I really liked Gnome and it is very similar. My other PC I'm playing around with Lubuntu 16.10 "Yakkety Yak"..LXDE Is Pretty cool, simple..I have 32-bit Tahrpup 6.0.5 on a pen drive I use on a lap top with no HD I like Puppy! Always have, always will.
Oh, I do have windblows 10 on a PC for my wife. If there's one thing I hate more than a windows PC?? Why that's two PC's with Windows! -

@pacopata

@pacopata I just looked around at Sparky Linux, Now I'm curious about GNOME Shell Sparky 4.x Minimal ISO, I might play around with it on an old PC that's been chillin in my closet..
-
Kubuntu, with KDE5.
It's quite comfy to use, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for something serious.
I sometimes tell myself I should switch to OpenSUSE some day. -
Linux Mint 18.1 with Cinnamon. It works great to me. Install lot of software and it's already fast and stable (actual pc is not that performing hardware). Plans for the future is Mint on KDE... when i buy new pc, and try some distro's (Manjaro, Antergos) with this one that i'm using now.
PS
Anyone got news about Pardus? -
I recently switched to Elementary OS, a distro that is closest to having good design in usability and aesthetics, and has made me even more enthusiastic about trying to switch to Linux for good. I've been using Linux Mint Cinnamon since version 18 came out, and while it's good, I find that Elementary OS has the best user-friendliness, best stock theme, the Pantheon desktop is very lightweight, fast and works very well, and everything more or less worked out of the box without me having to configure a whole lot of stuff. It was very much an "it just works" experience that I had gotten with the Mac when I use to own one from 2009-2013, except when it came to Beats Audio on my laptop(which could be fixed with external speakers).
It's possible that it's perfection in usability, user-friendliness, consistent interface and design, could make Elementary OS usurp Linux Mint from the "best desktop distribution" for 2017, according to Jack Wallen. I don't know about 2017, but it's definitely coming along and I see great potential in it. You can check his review of Elementary OS Loki here, which he describes it as "Linux Nirvana".
I believe it's this kind of design and innovation in the Linux desktop that we need draw users in and grow. I'm excited about this, and hope that Vivaldi will someday integrate into eOS' Human Interface Guidelines for users if it grows on it. I know Electron apps aren't allowed in eOS' AppCenter, as they want native apps, so I'm not sure a Node.js app like Vivaldi would pass, but there have been a bunch of integrated apps not in the AppCenter before.
