I can't login to this site (to post this comment) in incognito mode.
No problems here - did you disable 3rd party cookies?
Secondly on this site in incognito mode:
https://biqle.ru/watch/-120361779_456240814
If you change the resolution or the volume and refresh the page, it doesn't "stick" but reverts to default values.
Also you can't change the volume with the mouse, it just ignores the dragging motion.Yes, that is weird. But this feels more like a site problem to me, rather than Vivaldi.

@tbgbe: It worked fine a few builds ago. for years.
something definitely changed on Vivaldi's end.
-
@TheDragonReborn Well, I just tried https://biqle.ru/watch/-120361779_456240814 again in Stable Vivaldi (3.3.2022.47 ) and I cannot change volume with the slider!?
So, I don't believe it's a "regression" in Snapshot(s).
-
@tbgbe: I've been using it everyday...it always worked. so it's just recently broken.
It's only broken in incognito mode... how that should effect a volume slider I have no idea...
-
I don't understand these announcements anyway. When the update is there, I get a message.
Klick and update. Easy as that. What they change and why? I do not care...
Mostly I have no idea about that anyway. -
@Ice007 ok you've made your point, you're actually missing this forum is for discussions about features and bugs and to help each other out, not for being overly dramatic and trying to appear a smartass like you constantly do.
-
@iAN-CooG Smartass?... Yes fits. Not polite, but I've heard worse. Golden for you...

But not every Snapshot upgrade is available via update message (owing to known problems)!
What they change and why? I do not care...
Most Snapshot users DO care - especially for new/test features!!
-
@TbGbe Snapshots and Updates are two paire of shoes!
Snaphots are "could work, but maybe not..."
Updates are stable. Thats the different.
-
@Ice007 But this is a Snapshot update thread!
-
Wondering how long before certain posts [cough cough frozenwater cough] herein are shunted off to an unlinked OT thread? I mean, perish the thought of inconsistent hypocrisy, or anything...

Is there something wrong with private mode? I've been unable to open a new private window for the last 2 snapshots. The window would open but would show whatever was in the window that was open before the private window. The private window never gets to display the private window message.
Linux Mint 18 Xenial 64bit -
I have 661 tabs open in the normal browser window if that makes a difference.
-
@Fangsta Private Window continues to work fine in my
Vivaldi 3.4.2066.37 / Chrome 86.0.4240.77
.I expect it's because you're short by 5 tabs.
-
@gwen-dragon: Thanks for testing this. I normally use the Ctrl+Shift+N shortcut. It looks like all 4 of my vivaldi snapshot profiles are experiencing the same issue. Probably something else going on in my system.
-
@gwen-dragon: private window does work in a temp profile
-
There is a weired change on W10 if the Vivaldi icon is fixed on the task bar. On former versions of vivaldi a new window is always "stacked" on this icon. So there is always only one icon present in the task bar. Now the first windows creats a new icon, every further vivaldi window is stacked as before. So in sum there are two icons on the bar. That is a little bit wired, because pressing the fixed icon opens a new window, but I just want change to the active window.
Is it a bug feature? Nust be changed in one of the last snapshots!? -
@gwen-dragon: Tested, but no change.
