First! It's ok. I know you were all busy taking a break
-
2nd with a break, without M3
-
3rd! Uff, I need a break now...
...what? ability to move Speed Dials into folders ? Some will be really happy about this
-
@npro: Yeah, they will!
-
I wonder if this one will actually launch for me? [not yet come thru from 'herecura', so atm speculation is all i have].
-
Nice idea!
Did you also make any changes to the address bar from Stable? Autocomplete seems a lot more responsive (no more suddenly changing the suggestion before pressing Enter, and faster in general).
-
this is the 2nd snapshot build that wouldn't open after installation

Thanx for da updates!
I support you breaking the URL into separate sections in html, even though I don't personally like browsers trying to obscure something as important as the URL. But I can override it in CSS anyway.
Couple things:
- Use a more specific class for the scheme/protocol part instead of just
UrlFragment--Lowlight
. It would help avoid using stuff like:first-of-type
which is ugly. Suggestion:UrlFragment-SchemeFragment
. - Use the vars from
ShouldHighlight
instead of directly applying Lowlight/Highlight to each span. For instance, useUrlFragment-PathFragment
and give it colour directly. Easier to style for modding. - Add a separate class for query fragments to allow these to be styled independent of the path.
I understand this is a very much WIP at the moment, so there will likely be more changes coming, and I'll have to adapt my CSS to these.

Some more things:
-
Setting "Startup with = Homepage", homepage being the Start Page, will set the URL to
vivaldi://startpage/
and leads toERR_INVALID_URL
before the first page loads. Reported as VB-71014. -
VivaldiHooks seems to break new profiles including using a clean
--user-data-dir
(not your problem I know...)

Thanks for the fixes! However, one issue was introduced in this build.
Disabling "Highlight Base Domain in Address" does not work; browser considers it permanently enabled. Issue was not present in 2009.3

@TbGbe Bitterly disappointed here. Whilst the new snapshot is still not yet available in Arch, it is available in SparkyLinux... but all to no avail:
steffie@SparkyMATE-VM[~] 22:52:40 Tue Aug 25 $> vivaldi-snapshot Trace/breakpoint trap steffie@SparkyMATE-VM[~] 22:53:36 Tue Aug 25 $>
So, ditto as for

i still remain stuck on

@Ruarí -- VB-70690 remains unsolved. I have just now sent a reply email with this update to the Bug Reporter. -

Not certain if this is related somehow.Whenever i return to my homepage the URL is highlighted blue. Not a world ending issue but thought i would inform the forum.
i have attached a screenshot.

I have a warning that domain is not full in address bar, what's that all about?
-
@kened: You can do it with cut and paste on right mouse click. That's the way i like it...
-
@kened: You can drag it to the folder indicator at the top to get it out of there.

@Christoph142 I tried, created a folder, moved the last 2 thumbs in it, went to the folder by clicking it, moved back the 2 thumbs to the main SD page by dragging them to the top folder indicator, and now all my speed dial thumbnails got reordered in an apparently random order, it will take some minutes to reorder them, via the bookmarks panel, because it's an hell using the SD drag and drop, the moved thumbs gets swapped where I don't want them
I'd better not touch this ever again. What a mess. -
what about VB-70814?
