No sound output while using bluetooth headphones on UBUNTU 20.04
-
Hi, I have just started using vivaldi as my default browser and I am quite fascinated by it, But I recently switched to bluetooth headphones and it seems that there is no output while I use vivaldi but it seems to work fine with other apps and chrome as well ; I don't intend to switch back to chrome so if possible please resolve this issue;
my bluetooth version of headphones is 4.1 -
@snowybrook Vivaldi doesn’t directly connect to your bluetooth headphones. Are you running pulseaudio? Then Vivaldi is connecting to that. What I mean is that Vivaldi outputs sound independent from the hardware you are using. Theoretically it shouldn’t matter. It’s a strange issue.
edit: have you tried troubleshooting this yourself? This is the first hit I get: https://www.addictivetips.com/web/fix-bluetooth-audio-in-chrome-browser/, which naturally rebuts what I just said, lol.

@snowybrook Use
pavucontrol
to control the output device used by Vivalid (note: in the list of active sound outputs it shows as Chromium with blue Chromium icon). You should be able to switch the output to your headphones. -
